I believe that it was the Senate that she want to run for and couldn't get Trump's support. As a result, she has gone rogue.

However, I think that there are a couple of other reasons. MTG has her finger in the wind more than most members of Congress. She has a knack for knowing what is popular with the grassroots. She is also a fundraising phenomenon. She is able raise loads of money from small donors. As a result, she can ignore the party's big donors and super pacs who often call the shots.

She is still terrible on plenty of issues so let's not get carried away with praise, however.

I was hoping that her changing rhetoric was the beginning of a turn towards Trump by MAGA faithful. Am I being prematurely hopeful?

Possibly, because she said her reason for her decision is that her children's health insurance would go up exponentially. So, maybe, reality has opened her eyes.

Even when a clock is broken, it’s correct twice a day……briefly.

I hope she runs for President.

You "say that as a Dem". As if we believed you!

Also, she's not part of the Israel lobby and wants to defund Israel since Israelis receive free healthcare and free college while receiving $30-100 billion annually from American taxpayers.

She can only do this because she's no longer beholden to AIPAC like almost every other politician.

The same goes for Epstein files obviously given he's clearly a foreign/Israeli asset. Same thing applies to Massie.

She and AOC should start up their own parties because they, as politicians with an ounce of integrity, have no space for success while members of the corrupt GOP and Dem Parties.

I think MTG and AOC are the pinpricks that will ultimately send both the Republican and Democratic parties into the dustbin of history - like the Whigs, Federalists, etc.

Both major parties are reviled by a majority of Americans. Party registration for both parties is declining rapidly. Meanwhile, those declaring Independent is rising rapidly. MTG and AOC don't play by the rules. They both are appealing for a lot of people, depending on disposition. And both offer a F U to the RNC and the DNC and the establishment. There's a lot of space for both of them in today's climate.

She’s probably changed her tune cause her constituents are upset and she wants to be re-elected.

More politicians need to look around and see that their political careers will last far longer than Trump's.

I can see dominoes falling very quickly once a few GOP and Dem politicians with name recognition finally say enough is enough and give their middle finger to our corrupt major political parties in their current forms. In a matter of an election cycle, we could rid ourselves of the GOP and Dem Parties with conservatives and progressives coalescing around functional leadership under different party names.

She's never accepted a dime from the Israel lobby. She's also calling for AIPAC to register under FARA like ever other foreign government agent.

While she's a bit loony and very uncouth, she's just the woman that the dems need at the moment since no one on that side is willing to stand up. Especially all the beta males.

+1

And, I worry if this is a game toward more power. MTG wants an endorsement. Trump promises endorsement on the condition she stops
speaking out- Do MTG’s currently held “beliefs” remain solid? Do the values hold?
This is the problem with having a solid moral compass.

Marge is like a broken clock - right twice a day - but wrong the rest of the time.

OMG - she does have my attention though. She's speaking up about women not being respected in Congress - is this FAFO?
I don't trust her still, but I love that she isn't controlled by the superPACs. She is a loose canon for sure but right now, I like her direction. She is so right about the weaklings in Congress.
