Isn't it strange that trump never mentions the "assassination attempt" from a year ago?

Yes. I find his lack of talking about it very strange and unlike him. I don't think the reason is that he is too scared to talk about it, and I don't think his family would care if he was gone. We have seen the dead-eye Ivanka video in her bedroom at Trump Towers. We know how he handles children.

Was there ever a medical briefing? Do we know who the doctor was who attended to this?

Best gunshot patient ever! Never seen a man so strong. I had tears in my eyes when I said MR President SIR you are the strongest man I've ever seen and it's an honor to be treating this wound, which is definitely the worst wound I have ever seen on someone still conscious and I served in Iraq and Afghanistan and Bosnia and Vietman, and I've never seen a tougher man in my who career as the most renowned gunshot expert surgeon doctor.

Are you too young to remember Reagan getting shot? Or too old and forgot?

That previous post appears to be unserious.

Yes, I remember. "I hope you're a republican!" "I am today, Mr. President."

I'm just thinking about what a "medical briefing" as reported via trump admin mouthpieces might look like.

Ah ok. It is really strange. We heard about Reagan wounds in detail.

Are you too old to understand their sarcasm?

Trump was hit on the ear by a fragment of a bullet
, not the full bullet, otherwise he wouldn't have an ear today. He's probably never understood this fact. This is why he recovered so quickly, with barely a scar.

He doesn't talk about it because it's very frightening to face one's own death. If it had happened to you, you might not want to talk about it either. It's much easier to whine about other things.

- I loathe Trump, but I want everyone to stick to facts.

Then why is there no scar? Not a single scratch and hasn't been, ever. Ear cartillage doesn't heal. Ask any boxer or hockey player.

Of course it heals, just like with any other part of the body. There is probably a tiny scar that you can't see except from very close-up. Ear cartilage has a lot of capillaries, so even a little nick will bleed profusely, which is why the photo showed blood running down his neck. But it was a graze.

Trump never passes up an opportunity to boast. It’s odd that he didn’t endlessly brag on the campaign trail about cheating death to a) make himself seem more untouchable and godlike for his supporters b) win sympathy points from undecided voters.

He doesn’t strike me as the kind of person who would be humbly shaken and self-reflective after a near miss like that.

Too literal. Sometimes sarcasm doesn’t translate well in a forum with crazy people.

I am sure it was frightening for him and his family. I am betting he will have comments after the nutcase on trial now for the 2nd incident is found guilty.

have we seen the medical records on this yet?

What medical records? The kind Ronnie Jackson produces?

It's incredibly odd, especially when you see how quickly he and others in the administration starting talking about Kirk's killer. Trump still talks about people who insulted him a decade ago but never mentions the guy who shot him. He also doesn't have any kind of scar which is also very odd.

There are hundreds of high resolution images from days after the incident and none of them showed any sort of scar.

timely post, OP...

Ryan Routh, Trump's would-be assassin, who was found guilty of all charges.

(and note, democrats have no problem with this)

Of course not. Democrats are in favor of equal application of the law, and that guy committed a major crime. There was also no outcry about the prosecution of Hunter Biden, or Bob Menendez.

Aileen Cannon sure can run a quick trial when she wants to!
