Isn't it strange that trump never mentions the "assassination attempt" from a year ago?

He obsesses over any little perceived slight. He posts on social media about it. He sends his attack pam after people who insult him. He harps and whines and bloviates and exaggerates every little annoyance. It's his brand. But almost nothing about the person who "shot" him -- not his political leanings, not his sexual proclivities, not his support network, nothing.

Isn't that weird?

Yes.

He once said as he told the story about getting shot that he wouldn’t repeat it again.

I am sure it was frightening for him and his family. I am betting he will have comments after the nutcase on trial now for the 2nd incident is found guilty.

Yeah, it can be hard to keep the lies straight. What an uncharacteristic moment of restraint for him.

I hope you're not insinuating that it didn't happen, because it did.

Trump was hit on the ear by a fragment of a bullet, not the full bullet, otherwise he wouldn't have an ear today. He's probably never understood this fact. This is why he recovered so quickly, with barely a scar.

He doesn't talk about it because it's very frightening to face one's own death. If it had happened to you, you might not want to talk about it either. It's much easier to whine about other things.

- I loathe Trump, but I want everyone to stick to facts.

What did the bullet hit first that caused it to fragment and only graze his ear with a small bit?

It's very unlike Trump, he usually talks about things like this until they are beat into the ground. Assuming he doesn't want any more publicity for some reason.

And he is nothing if not a paragon of self-control and a man of his word. lol

Yes, it is odd and very off-brand for him. In fact it’s truly bizarre he didn’t resurrect the whole situation when Charlie Kirk was killed. He loves to make things about him.

And yes, read between the lines on my insinuation.

The man of grievance doesn’t seem to rant on about that incident. Also it was strange we never had a medical briefing from the attending ER physicians, like when Reagan was shot.

Have wondered also! He sure did change the subject quickly to the ballroom construction.

Then why is there no scar? Not a single scratch and hasn't been, ever. Ear cartillage doesn't heal. Ask any boxer or hockey player.

Best gunshot patient ever! Never seen a man so strong. I had tears in my eyes when I said MR President SIR you are the strongest man I've ever seen and it's an honor to be treating this wound, which is definitely the worst wound I have ever seen on someone still conscious and I served in Iraq and Afghanistan and Bosnia and Vietman, and I've never seen a tougher man in my who career as the most renowned gunshot expert surgeon doctor.

Are you too young to remember Reagan getting shot? Or too old and forgot?

Yes, I remember. "I hope you're a republican!" "I am today, Mr. President."

I'm just thinking about what a "medical briefing" as reported via trump admin mouthpieces might look like.
