This is extremely unusual behavior. I would guess she is either not neurotypical or suffering from a mental health issue. Of course the firm couldn't keep her after that, but I don't find funny, which some news sources seem to. |
I want to hear from her law school classmates. If she supposedly bit more than 10 people at work, she was acting this way during classes in May. |
I don’t doubt the biting but the OP’s linked story was definitely written with AI. Poorly. |
Why is this in a DC forum when this didn't happen in DC? |
It's Biglaw. DC is about Biglaw. From this thread, I learned there is an r/Biglaw |
Do none of you watch anime?
She was trying to be "kawaii" and "glomping" is what kawaii girls do. |
Kawaii girls bite? Glomping is an over the top hug. |
Probably age 24-25. Hate to break it to you but the maturity level of young people today is far lower than the 60s, 70s, 80s. The advent of social media has people living into childhood & coddling far longer than they should. Kids don't even play outside anymore.... they are shuttled to pre constructed activities. This hinders social skills.
BigLaw needs to screen for maturity and psychology now. |
I consider it foreplay. I hope someone banged her. |
I watch a LOT of anime and this is not really a thing. Maybe in a romantic context but there is plenty of anime about the Japanese workplace and there is no touching, much less biting. |
I hate big law with a burning passion. She probably did something strange but the way they are gleefully destroying her (when I’m positive many summer associates and firm lawyers are fired for sexual assault and harassment with no fanfare) is just disgusting.
I was a summer associate the summer of “Aquagirl” and the way the other summers and blogs were going on and on about her was just so gross. It really turned me off BigLaw (not that I needed any additional impetus really). |
Can't be fired then. I smell lawsuit. |
And they have a DC office. |
100% correct. |
Just like society has dropped both the "N word" and the "r word", we need to drop the satirical retort "bite me" because someone may take it literally. |
