I absolutely believe a cop said that. Their colleagues are going to prison for giving chase to violent drug dealing criminals on scooters. Absolutely every DC cop is checked out because of DC politicians and DC judges.

You don't get a pension anymore for being committed to the job. You get a pension for eating donuts for 20 years. And it is entirely because of the choices of DC voters. Everything is racism for voters, so cops are, like, fine, we won't arrest these people. It's your community. We're just going to do the time until the pension.

We need to take a harder stance on quality of life issues. One of these days those four wheelers wrecked kill someone in a crosswalk.
It’s bad enough the cops barely seem to arrest the violent criminals, maybe they should go after the lower hanging fruit.

So you want them to chase these people down? The reason they do not do that is because of the dangers of all to civilians. Oh and by the way Maryland and Virginia have the same thing going on.

Good to know. In Virginia, most of the ATV accidents and deaths among teens seem to happen in less congested areas.

I thought it was because the process of arresting the riders would involve multiple police vehicles chasing the ATVs in residential neighborhoods— thereby putting the residents and other pedestrians in even greater risk.

I think it’s a combination of several issues.

Surely this could be done with video/camera and identification/prosecution later. If someone's photo isn't publicly online, then sure, there's no case, but I bet all of these people are on social media somewhere
