BS that Tesla is an exception MAGA consumer product safety says otherwise. So does Edmonds and consumer reports and many other reviews. |
| I see several Ford Expeditions in our Arlington neighborhood. |
The ford “luxury” is the Lincoln brand. |
You need a new car. With that kind of money, it's foolish not to invest in your own safety. Hopefully you have replaced the kinds of rubber and plastic things that break randomly. Get yourself a new Corolla if you must. |
| My neighborhood in Chevy Chase is full of Suburbans and Tahoes and Jeeps. |
| The Bronco seems to be popping up in our neighborhood, but mostly for high school students it seems like. |
Bezos, before he became a bozo, drove a Honda minivan even when they were super rich. |
and Trump |
Rich high school kids in DC and southern suburbs get Broncos and Jeeps. Broncos are on the upswing given recent reliability issues with Jeeps. |
This. |
Catholics need huge cars for their kids. |
I know a few people who have them. One of the families has some sort of family connection to Ford, so they get deals. The other families are middle class Arlington. |

I'll take the OP at their word that they don't see GM, Ford or Chrysler CARS in their neighborhood. I am certain they see trucks and SUVs made by those brands.
That is not surprising because GM, Ford and Chrysler actually offer very few "cars" for sale. Ford has the Mustang and that's it. Chevy sells only the Malibu and Corvette. Chrysler/Dodge sells the Charger and that's it. |
Yeah this is it. People who want a car go foreign, trucks are American, SUVs are split. I looked around my neighborhood today on a walk and there were plenty of American trucks, a few SUVs, and one old Focus. |
