It’s possible he’s just mentally unbalanced

I mean, the right went apoplectic of Biden's "dementia" and yet, he ran a clean and productive administration.

What is the GOP excuse on this?

Do you think Trump created all these charts and ideas himself? He is not the only danger.

Trump is old, losing it but has always been a horrible person so all his negative traits are amplified by the dementia.

DP. It's a classification of personality disorders. One of them, Cluster B, is characterized by "dramatic, emotional, and erratic behaviors." It includes the following four disorders:

-Antisocial personality disorder:
A pattern of disregard for and violation of the rights of others, characterized by impulsivity, aggression, and lack of remorse.

-Borderline personality disorder:
A pattern of instability in interpersonal relationships, self-image, and emotions, characterized by intense mood swings, impulsivity, and self-harm.

-Histrionic personality disorder:
A pattern of excessive emotionality and attention-seeking behavior, characterized by dramatic displays of emotion, shallow relationships, and a need for center stage.

-Narcissistic personality disorder:
A pattern of grandiosity, a need for admiration, and a lack of empathy, characterized by an inflated sense of self-importance, entitlement, and interpersonal exploitation.

Consider visiting the Relationships and Family side of DCUM blog.

You can familiarize yourself with these terms. Youtube has many videos available on Narcissistic Personality Disorder, especially as it relates to relationships, marriage, and family dynamics.

Of course not. The Democrat battalions also ran a man for president who could not hold his together and went to bed at 8 pm everynight. Then changed their mind, and on their own decided to run the Vice President for president. Those Dems are still in charge too

Biden was in cognitive decline (as are many people over a certain age), but he does not have a personality disorder that would drive him to destroy his own country. He did not dismantle the government and tank the economy.

No. Just the collective party was nuts. They had a shared personality disorder that lead to administration 47.

If you believe that then can I assume that you are equally eager to condemn the GOP for backing Trump, who clearly has a screw loose?

Trump has never had a real friend, so he doesn't value empathy, communication, and the importance of trust and support. And now that he's surrounded by sycophants who let him do what he wants, he's treating other countries like this because he's totally transactional and doesn't understand the value of having friends.

Correct. Lack of empathy is a key element of Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

Add malignant to Narcissistic Personality Disorder. It’s a thing. Plus, Oppositional Defiance Disorder (ODD) That’s my armchair diagnosis.

This. I grew up with a Cluster B in my family, so I have a lot of practice dealing with it. When Trump shocked people in the early days, I was like, "Oh, my childhood."

One of my therapist friends says he is a psychopath.

DC has rough people — and then we have very well-to-do people, with summer homes (a couple) and cabins that were “won” in card games at the turn of the last century. We learn from each-other. The rough folks actually get respect bc we know how to call BS, we work hard and we can run elections

Get us back in the game

This is the problem right here. It’s not a game. It’s people who love their family, want to work hard, want to thrive—individual Americans who make up a community, our society.

1) staying out of jail (check)
2) revenge (check)
3) validation and adoration
He does not actually have 3)but he thinks he does because JD lies and kisses up non-stop, weirdo Musk lies and and manipulates him, Karoline seems to genuinely worship him and she's pretty so that helps, and the MAGA crowds really do love him. (So basically, check)

As for the rest, he doesn't actually want to govern and has delegated power to others. He doesn't know or care what is going on and, as a rule, is not the least bit ashamed of his own ignorance.

Sure he is getting old. Sure he is a narcissist. Beyond, these? He is a puppet president.

Except what are these tariffs then? He's been talking about tariffs for 40 years, since he was a young scumbag on TV.

I think you are overall right - and also this is his little pet project. I think he is overall a horrible, stupid, lazy, narcissist who rapes, lies, and steals when he wants to because who's ever going to do anything about it. He is careless and does not care one whit about anyone else's wellbeing.

And also I think the one thing he actually believes in in outside of all that is these idiotic tariffs. Like he truly believes he is doing a good thing for the country here, I think.

I really don’t think he thinks like that. I think it’s all Art of the Deal power posturing. He wants power, and he wants power over others. This is a way to get it. It’s not broader or deeper than that.

+1 Also he holds grudges and thinks that trade deficits are personal insults to him.

The true question should be: is it possible he's not just mentally unbalanced?

I mean it's painfully obvious that he's indeed mentally unbalanced, it's not even a question. How can there be any doubt?
