Megalomaniacs at the helmet pulling all kinds of illegal power move. Let's hope that checks and balances hold ( though shocked at how little of this I've seen in Congress) or that the megalomaniacs with their giant egos will turn on each other and take each other out.

This war on civil servants, critical thinking, diversity, transgender, facts etc is just a means to amass power by obscuring the truth, amassing control, dumbing down the electorate and stoking fear. All the hallmarks of a dictatorship and police state.

For those we voted for this chaos: your unemployed kids thank you.

Hmm, this is probably a stretch, what do you all think about this affecting RD admissions or yield at Georgetown and GWU?

Interesting question! My kid is applying to Georgetown sfs, and one of the draws was possibility of strong DC internships. If they get in, would reassess if DC is the right place for the next 4 years or not.. .

Just thinking out loud, I wouldn't hesitate for SFS. I might wonder about GWU, with internships being a primary draw; not that familiar with Elliot yet though.

I am honestly shocked that there isn’t more outrage or organized reaction to all of this. Where is the DNC? Do people not see where Trump is headed? I would assume there are Trump voters in the civil service… are you happy now? Maybe that needs to wait until your fruit is $20 per pound.

They were sold the idea that the other countries will cave to Trump with no impact to these voters.

Delusions fuel their tank now

I don’t think youre aware then. Lots of action from Congress. Senate Finance Committee demand letter. Bills are being filed already.

Our representatives are using the legal channels afforded to them to counter Musk.

It’d be really satisfying to see the FBI do something, but Congress is acting.

Remember, the treasury stuff happened FRIDAY.

No, but if you had worked harder, gone into the office, and continued to do your fair share of the lifting during the past 5 years, we wouldn’t have reached such an extreme imbalance in our society, which is exactly what empowered Trump to sweep in and win. FAFO.
