Has your DC’s fed govt internship been canceled/rescinded?

DC was offered a paid government agency internship (safety related agency) this week. Very excited, but concerned it will be canceled due to hiring freeze.

Has anyone’s DC had an offer rescinded since Jan. 20th?

I've heard (and read on Reddit) that they are all being rescinded except for DOD. This includes unpaid internships (which makes no sense).

I work in a fed agency and we received an email yesterday that unpaid internships are *not* subject to the hiring freeze, i.e., will be fine. But hard to trust anything anymore.

NIST high school applications suspended. We assume that means they won’t happen.

DS just accepted to his program for political science in the DC area. The whole point of staying in DMV was to get a federal internship during the school year. Don't really see that happening with this maniac in office

DOJ law student internships rescinded.

One big problem is that interns won’t have any work to do since everything is grinding to a crawl.

Yes, my Law School kid had his internship rescinded at DOJ…

Oh well….we deserve what we get…..

Kid at military lab for summer and was told ok for now.

Does anyone know about NIH SIP? My kid has application in, hasn't gotten an offer yet. I know it's crazy competitive, but don't know if they're even offering them.
