Should I find someone to hook up with on my solo trip this week

Finding someone you are actually attracted to is the first battle and then enjoying sex with a random stranger in your hotel room and the aftermath of that isn't always all that hot.

But if you just want sex, you can very easily get it. But be aware the random guy in the bar picking you up may well be married and has a wife at home feeling how you felt.

+1000 to the bold. Think about that, OP. Don't stoop to this level (though plenty here on DCUM will come along to encourage you to do this).

You want revenge sex. Understandable, but do you really want to cave in to an impulse that, in effect, gets you...what, exactly? An orgasm, maybe (not guaranteed) and possibly an STI--yes, even if you use a condom--and depending on the destination, a potential risk to your safety, too? Is the quick thrill of stranger sex really worth it?

Rather than expending energy on how and where and when to find a total stranger for a sex partner, consider taking that energy and expending on planning the real and best revenge---your divorce plan.

You're way overthinking it.

Hop on a dating app and find someone that way. Go out with a few guys. If any are appealing and you want to have a ONS, go for it. If you don't, then don't.

I've had tons of post-breakup hookups. Some are good, some are bad. If it's bad, I just end it and leave. None have ever ended with me sobbing "omg casual sex is horrible what have I done?!" Sometimes sex is just sex.

Hm, it brought me plenty of happiness when I slept around in my 20s. Sex is fun.

But it doesn't sound like you really want to.

Sounds like you're trying to be someone you aren't to prove something which means it might not be as exciting as you hope.

There's definitely a lot of psychos out there. So be safe if you're going to do it. And make him wear a condom you don't want any souvenirs.

Let's not be uninformed here. There are still STIs one can get even with condom use. Even with correct condom use:

"Five most common STDs that even condoms can't stop"

DCUM's overconfidence in condoms as facilitators of no-strings, no-consequences sex is...something. But I've seen over the years that this forum has its collective head buried in the sand when it comes to STIs, testing, and consequences for casual sex.

Safe sex is only guaranteed by your vibrator and fingers.

Eh. If you think vaginas smell bad, you probably aren't all that into vaginas.

Nobody needs to sell women on anything. Flirting, sex, and orgasms are all part of a happy life. You should try it sometime.

If you sleep with women who have low hygiene standards, I think that says more about you than her.

But you'd have to have actually had sex with a human woman, which trolls dont do.

Not quite. Complete abstinence is the most risk free guarantee. OP's nasty cheating husband and his nasty cheating affair partner(s) could have been in contact with OPs sex toys.

Unless you are preaching complete abstinence, OP should be getting tested and informing herself about how to mitigate risks of sex (which she is going to have).
