WAGS Predictions

Just goes to show that maybe WAGS isn’t the best event. No real contenders in the Mid Atlantic ECNL participate.

WAGS is great. Been around forever.

Just because it’s been around forever doesn’t make it great.

OK VDA Salty parent.
You can not agree that it is ridiculous that your U12-U14 year old is going to NC for an event when one of the top 5 girls tournaments in the country is in your backyard?

No RU, NS didn’t want to lose to his old team. I heard they applied but then dropped out once they say NVA teams on the applied teams list.

WAGS is a top 5 girls tournament because of the number of girls teams. Not the quality of girls teams. It’s also not a top 5 girls tournament. I can name 15 others that are better.

Probably won't, the same thing was said for Copa Rayados when it was ECNL vs GA (especially at the younger ages)

Serious question/thought excercise: If mid to bottom tier ECNL outfits continue to lose to GA teams; GA teams that will likley finish at top of their league how does a reasonable parent not conisder jumping ship to GA? I've been told winning doesn't matter but does being on a significantly better team where the ball moves better and everyone then looks better on the field and gets to play worth it?

FVU playing a bunch of RL teams? Hmm.

And love the George Jefferson comment.

Top 5 tournament in the country? You can’t be serious.

What GA team in the area is finishing at the top of their league? They haven't even started playing the MD, PA or NJ teams yet.

Is any US youth soccer event great? It's all different flavors of mediocre, "top" ECNL teams and all.
