If you do some Googling poster you’ll readily find the information that medical schools don’t teach nutrition beyond a couple of hours at most which is insanity considering the gut is the seat of health and most all chronic diseases metabolic and otherwise stem from gut dysbiosis and the cascade of negative effects from consuming with regularity unhealthy foods. See Doctor Robert Lustig’s (pediatric endocrinologist emeritus UCSF) book Metabolical, in which he exposes the failings of the medical profession to teach doctors about nutrition and to thus teach patients about it to help them reverse their chronic illnesses rather than just treating them forever with drugs that address symptoms but not causes. Physicians committee for responsible medicine, a group of physicians, also endorses reforms in medical education because of the woeful lack of knowledge among the primary care physicians advising most patients at present. Etc. It’s common knowledge that most doctors are clueless about nutritional biochemistry and will tell patients ‘CICO and move more’ without acknowledging that quality of calories is critical for restoring or maintaining health - all energy is not the same. |

I'm the one who said OP should talk to the doctor instead of strangers on the internet. You are just proving my point and don't even know it. You keep insisting that this could be "fixed" with a specific diet. You have no idea what the underlying cause for the inflammation is, and therefore, can't tell OP how to treat it. You are not a doctor and shouldn't be giving out medical advice after Googling nutrition. JFC |
I'm not PP, but even many doctors themselves admit they don't get enough training in nutrition. |

Here's the thing. There's not that much to learn about nutrition. There is no cure to be had from eating certain foods. Obviously, eat rezl, fresh foods, don't drink or smoke, avoid sugar. Nutrition is part of a healthy lifestyle and preventative medicine, but eating a particular food, herb or spice will not cure anything. If you have an allergy or get hives or a rosacea breakout from certain foods, avoid them! People think there is some hidden information being suppressed or that a supplement is better than a drug just because it's a supplement. There is no secret information to find. |

NAC - it’s amazing. Yes, Google it. |
OP here. Respectfully, I think it is. I'm actually eating better than I was on the GLP1 because I knew I'd need to be really cognizant to not gain weight back. That said, while the weight gain in a bummer, its the feeling of inflammation that I hate more. I'd forgotten what it feels like because it was pretty much non-existent when I was on GLP1s. My joints are killing me, my skin feels tight, I can literally push on my legs and see how puffy I am because my skin doesn't bounce back, anything cold feels so good on my skin (but I'm not actually hot). I know I wasn't supposed to be on and off the drugs, but tell that to all of the insurance issues and supply issues. There were times I couldn't get it for months and then I've had to switch from Mounjaro to Ozempic to compounded. If you are so in the know about GLP1's you would know that it been far from a linear process to access these drugs. At one point I was paying $25/mo, then $1000+/mo, then back down to $400/mo. When I was having to pay 100% out of pocket for a bit, I had to stop because the cost was prohibitive. If I could get Mounjaro for a reasonable price every month, I'd never get off of it. But I can't get it now because I'm not diabetic and my insurance won't cover Zepbound. I did compounded for a while, but that's still pretty expensive and makes me a little nervous on who little it' regulated. |
OP here. This is actually really common. It basically presents as Lupus but I don't have the ANA markers. |
The best supplement is glp1 or even better the newer ones like tirzepatide.
You can order through ivim or any of the online platforms. No other supplement is better. |
