Nothing wrong with OP seeking a consult from an actual nutritionist rather than googling and finding a bunch of contradictory or crack pseudo-pop misinformation. |
In certain things, sure. But when menopause is literally an elective in med school I think it’s safe to assume you know more than the average male GP if you’ve done any googling at all. Even OB/GYN programs don’t have it. Which is shocking when all those changes affect literally every system in your body. And those changes affect 100% of every woman who lives long enough. |
DP. I'm in the same camp, and my rheumatologist is treating me as if I do have lupus. She said that 10-25% of lupus patients don't have the ANA markers but are diagnosed based on the symptoms. I feel you on the lack of nutritional guidance. I like my rheumatologist; she's very thorough. Yet she's not a good resource when I ask about nutrition. My diet is already heavy on fish and chicken and very light on red meat, so it's not that much of a change for me to cut out processed meat. I added frozen blueberries in my daily breakfast. Between that and Plaquenil my symptoms are pretty well under control. |
