I watch it at work, I’m not always fully paying attention but every now and then something grabs me. I like her. |
Passive propaganda for housewives. |
Congrats to her. She certainly put in the time to get to where she is. I love that she can be present for her kids. |
I just got breaking news alert and it was about this. I’m not sure why it warrants “breaking news” but hey - I saw it on DCUM first!
Truth be told I don’t have a tv and am not sure what this show is, but it must be important to be breaking news |
Happy for her. She is focusing on what is important and has the financial security to do it. I also think as you get older the blah blah of a gossip show gets old since she runs that show. She is also very close with Kathy Lee and I remember Kathy Lee talking about embracing the future and wanting to use her time on passion projects. Kathy Lee never looked back when she left and is really happy. Hoda will now do interviews she is genuinely interested in, write books on what inspires her and have the time to do everything with her kids and take care of her mom. I am not sure what will happen with Jenna. I don’t see her doing the show without a more senior person. Jenna can be too silly and a bit judgy. I didn’t like when she scolded Hoda about calling in when hung over. I am sure it only happened one or two times in Hoda’s life and she was being relatable and Jenna was pearl clutching. I didn’t like that. Hope she doesn’t lose her job though and that they just find a good cohost for her. |
On this, you are wrong. Signed: advertising exec. |
I watch this show every morning. If the low ball contract is true then the Today show made a huge mistake. I hate listening to snotty attitude Savannah and watching Al constantly take passive aggressive swipes at Craig is gross. Carson and Jenna really think they ares this amazing talent, and they both could go away and no one would notice. I like Sheinelle, Dylon and Peter though. People really like Hoda and she is totally relatable. |
I actually wondered why she was still doing the show, it is such a demanding schedule, she is so much older with such small kids and she doesn't need the money. It makes perfect sense to me she'd say "I'm done, more time for family now" |
She just moved to the burbs. Makes sense she doesn't want to do the insane hours anymore. |
I just saw the video of the announcement. They’re all dramatically holding hands like someone is about to say they’ve got two weeks to live. But no, rich lady is retiring at a respectable retirement age. Oh boy! |
RIGHT?! In what world.... |
She knows she doesn’t have much time left with her kids. Smart move. |
Boy, I’m gonna miss her. She is part of my morning routine. I really hope you enjoy the time with your children. As far as the second chair, I wonder if it will be Craig, Chanel or Laura. |
Craig’s voice is so hoarse. Am I the only one who is bothered by this? |
I do not know why people slam the show. It’s not my cup of tea but who cares?
I haven’t watched it since I was a kid and daytime TV reminds me of being sick and home from school. So, it’s not for me but the show brings happiness to people and provides jobs. Grumpy people will grump. |
