Meanest DCUM Forum

No. Same as it ever was.

AAP and private school. Any post is met by people who are opposed to the very existence of the thing being posted about

The Health one... anything related to weight loss, Ozempic, etc.

I am harsh on sandal threads in an effort to avoid being ambiguous about what looks awful (so much). I worry if I say "That's a pretty color, but also horrendous" the poster asking if they should get it will just see "pretty color" and purchase. I am trying to save people from themselves. I am doing god's work!

School forums can be pretty nasty too. Specifically Montgomery County as that is the one I check but I would have to imagine the others are similar.

The politics forum is infested with truly extreme LWNJs. Even Jeff has said it’s a disaster.

What’s LWNJ?

Political can be a cess pool. I think the others are mild in comparison.

Any thread talking about redshirting is like watching a civil war field battle.

A lot of the elementary school kids threads are mean girlish. A lot of "are you dumb / stick to the schedule stupid / you're a terrible mom if your kids stay up past 6:30pm"

A lot of the relationship forum is very big on "well didn't you know that before you married them dummy" which is the most unhelpful comment EVER.

I think all the threads CAN be very helpful but you got to weed through some mess - particularly in Beauty and Fashion.

Any thread that asks about cosmetic procedures like Botox, etc. always ends in "why don't you just love yourself you ugly insecure ogre" or "why can't you just embrace the gray/wrinkles like NORMAL women and you all look a MESS and WE CAN TELL and you aren't fooling anyone!" - which I find very ironic in a forum that talks about Beauty and Fashion.

That neverending Jen Hatmaker thread is something to behold.

I'm actually afraid to read the skinny jeans thread further than the poster who said they'd never stopped wearing them (because I haven't, either).

LWNJ is the term far-right weirdos use for anyone who doesn't pop an immediate stiffy when looking at an assault rifle, thinking about trickle-down economics, hearing a dog whistle, or crossing a stroad.

I’ve been here a long time and am not the nicest but have noticed an uptick in really mean posters who will insist on bizarre distortions/projections of the OP.

The only forum that was never a problem was the explicit one.
