How much is everyone’s shuttle bus to private school this year?

It’s included in the cost, not free.

$1300/$1500 one way morning bus depending on your route (there are 4 from different directions);
or $150 morning shuttle from Metro (running in a loop until the first bell; you can also do single trips instead of paying for the full year (5 trips/$10);
and free afternoon shuttles to and from Metro at a variety of times to account for after school schedules, running until 6 pm. If a team arrives back later, there is someone to run a shuttle for those kids later as well.
The school also has EV chargers in the solar panel parking lot.

Meaning everyone pays for it whether they use it or not. Around here many schools offer it separate to keep down tuition costs for those who don't use it. Our school has a fair number of students who can walk to school, and many who use the metro or city busses. They shouldn't pay for someone else's transportation in a city where it so easy to use public transportation.

$3400 for the year. Includes roundtrip, evening bus for after school activities and shuttle to metro.

And for DC resident students in DC schools, public transportation is free.

This. As a family that doesn’t need school transportation, we appreciate not having it lumped into our tuition.

Which school offers a free shuttle to a nearby Metro stop?!!? I wish our school would do this.

Not sure if it’s the same school that person is referencing, but SSSAS has a circulator bus between the three campuses and a shuttle between school and Braddock Metro (no additional cost to use).

Does your student use every facility and service provided by your school? My student doesn’t participate in organized sports but our tuition presumably still pays for the cost of the facilities, equipment, and coaching staff. So it goes!

Included in cost this year. I think they're going to break it out next year, at which point it's going to be ~$1000, IIRC.

No, of course not. Lunch is included in our tuition but our picky eater brings lunch. So we pay for food anyway. If transportation we didn’t use was included in tuition, we’d pay for it, not switch schools. But I’m still happy we *don’t* have to pay for something we don’t use.

DP: At our school, yes, I can't think of much that every kid will not use at some point in their time there. Sports are required, classes in the arts are required, and all of those facilities are multi-purpose as well. So, yes. Commute transportation is only paid for by those who need it.
