Adult sleepovers, why are they not fun for me?

I know people who do this but I don't and would not enjoy it. I like sleeping in my own bed and I have no interest in spending that much time continuously with a girlfriend no matter how well we get along.

The people I know who do this are just super into their friends and also do tons of girls weekends and want to socialize with their friends several times a week. I won't say it's weird. Just different. I prefer to see friends once a week at most. I mostly hang out with my husband and our DC and when I have a extra time I usually default to spending time alone. If I hung out with friends that much I wouldn't have anythign to talk to them about.

Lol whaaat omg. I opened this thinking it would be about renting a house with friends. When I realized it was about someone's house I was like "oh interesting, but maybe this could be fun?" And when I got to the line about squeezing into bed I lost it. I cannot even imagine how my friends would react if I suggested this.

I’m 50 and I have never heard of this. I don’t even want to share a hotel room on a girls’ trip!! This is not normal op.

How far are these sleepovers from your home? I’d hang out all evening, go sleep at my own home, and then meet them for brunch. Everything but the sleeping sounds fun.

I am sure they are sleeping over so they can drink a lot. I don't drink anymore so yes I'd do what you describe. And then also likely skip brunch the next day because I have kids and a job and a spouse and also like getting alone time -- who has the bandwidth to spend 8 hours on a weekend with a girlfriend. I have a hard time believing moms are doing this. DH has no issue flying solo with the kids so I can go to dinner or a concert with friends and would happily do the occasional weekend while I went away but if I was regularly sleeping over at friends house and not getting home until the afternoon he'd be super annoyed. And I'd feel the same if he was doing this all the time too. Weekends are when we reconnect as a family.

I can't imagine adults doing this, but just wanna say I'm still traumatized by friends' dogs encountered during childhood sleepovers.

We do this but not with shared beds and def as a way to drink without driving.
