Why am I gaining weight despite eating same

You've got bloat from a wonky cycle. Money is on you getting back to baseline after a normal period or two.

Any you ARE anxious if a single weird cycle and a couple pounds of bloat send you to the Dr. for metabolic and hormone checks.

Anxiety and stress can cause your period to be late or skip. And 4 pounds is nearly nothing. A big poop and a few days of eating less and it will be gone

OP here, I am not anxious or stressed though

If you are tracking all your calories, macros, steps, etc. then yes you are anxious and maybe have OCD or disordered eating. You are in your 20s and 120 something pounds. Why are you obsessing about this?

+1 WTH? Who pays this much attention to such a tiny amount of weight?

Sometimes it's as simple as calories in/out, but also if yiu stsrted say a weightlifting programme, or HIIT training, you could be eating more than you need bc you feel hungrier. Maybe look at balancing the types of workouts you are doing.

I have been eating the same exact cals macros and track all my steps and workouts as well. No difference in that

You sounds like maybe you need to see a therapist. Why have you been this closely monitoring your intake, macros, and how many calories burned before you even gained the 4 lbs?

Even since I lost weight last year, I track to make sure I don’t gain it back after working hard to lose it.

How will I know when I get my period back? I asked a few hormonal docs online and they said for me to get all these tests done. It’s just weird that I am gaining half a pound every morning on scale with no period here. Will I keep gaining more and more until my period eventually comes back?

Are you literally gaining half a pound a day? Day after day?
If you press your thumb HARD on your shinbone a few inches above the ankle and hold it for a minute, is ther a dent in your leg?
You could have a heart issue. Did your doctor check for congestive heart failure?

You are hyperfixated on your weight and what you are eating, and that is not normal or healthy. And what do you mean by you asked a “few hormonal docs online?” Why wouldn’t you just make an appt with your regular doctor like a normal person?

OP- everything about your posts is super bizarre and off. Do you have history of an eating disorder or mental illness?

I made an appt with regular doctor but first available is late September so I went to urgent care and they took some blood tests which I am awaiting results for.

You mentioned losing weight in the past year, are you getting enough nutrients? Are you eating enough fat and iron? Overtime nutrient deficiencies can mess up your hormones which in turn can mess up your cycle. It's one missed period, as others have said, your body will probably balance out once your next period comes. However, missing a period in your 20s is a little weird. Usually it's due to mental stress or physical stress. For whatever reason, your body does not think you are healthy enough to have a baby at the moment. Why is that?

Yes. I also haven’t been sleeping right and experiencing constipation

I only lost about 10 lbs in the past year, nothing significant. And I make sure to eat lots of fat and variety of nutrients. I haven’t been stressed so don’t know why this is happening.

You call your regular doctor and ask for a sick visit. I promise your doctor has appointments before Sept for acute issues. You don’t go to to urgent care bc you are bloated and missed a period.

Do you think it’s a big issue worth going to a PCP immediately for? I am conflicted as some says it’s just a wonky cycle
