DCUM just have a very weird habit of boosting DMV colleges over everyone and preserving a few "untouchables" like Harvard and MIT. My head spins seeing how parents on this thread talk about colleges in the south or California.

There seems to be an unreasonable dislike for Southern schools - except for Duke.

Also Georgetown and Chicago and Cornell get dissed here for whatever reason

The UVA and Northeastern people are nuts

Anyone that says anything about HPS at all is in a bad place

Yale deserves the drop

MIT is the It school

And people in DC don't know what to make of Notre Dame, Texas, and anything west, north, south of Rock Creek Park that isn't Ivy League

Definitely need to be a spelunker to get the useful info

Mostly because the majority demographic of DCUM doesn’t care about them

People here like small schools and bad mouth Cal, because the class sizes are massive. I guess being one of the best public schools in the world can’t get you past dcum scrutiny
