These are not young kids.

When your 11 yr old is raped in a locker room, lets so how old you think they are.

Well, I hope you’re fine with your 11 year old seeing bare breasts and crotches, then. Because I’m not covering up just because he’s there. You can’t have it both ways.

Not to mention the younger girls in the locker room who don’t want to be naked in front of a male peer. What about their comfort? And their right to not be ogled and not have to see a peer’s penis. Not much different from subway flashers.

Bathrooms are not the same as locker rooms duh. Bathrooms really have no good reason to be gendered in the first place. I don’t see naked people in bathrooms.

Don't take your son to places with locker rooms then. You should know most places have rules against this anyway.

Why is your child getting naked in front of any stranger? Do you know there are women predators as well?

Don’t make assumptions on peoples gender, especially children. There’s usually a very good reason why there is a child at any age with their parent. We have a very close family member, who is very often mis gendered, and shamed in bathrooms and locker rooms by older boomer women who are “trying to be helpful” or Trying to ”enforce the rules”.

I really don't care, OP.

I prefer to err on the side of keeping children safe, so if that means bringing a tween into the opposite gender room, then so be it. I will just ignore them, and so will my daughter. My own son was changing by himself in the men's, and the room was structured such that I wasn't worried about assault. He has mild special needs. However I am aware that for more serious needs, or differently-structured changing rooms, the calculus night be different.

Bodies are nothing to be ashamed of. This is really my underlying thought. If you feel such shame over your body that you can't bear to have an 11 year old boy see it... I think you're the one with the problem.

Why not have single person stalls instead of a hall for people to change. What's wrong with privacy, safety and modesty?

What's the difference if a young boy or girl has to be in a male changing hall or women's changing hall, they'll be exposed to nudity and risk of assault. In an era when we are recognizing gender identity and sexual orientation psychology as an important aspect, why push kids any which way?

Not your child, not your business. You have no idea why they made that choice. Parents are doing the best they can. Please leave them alone.

*or may adults just be better people not predators or peeping toms.

How nice this world would be for all of us if people doesn't have to be afraid of other people?

It has been well established that girls are not allowed to complain about their feelings of privacy or unease about having males naked with them.

I will make any assumption I want. Fact is its boys in women's locker rooms. Girls aren't going into locker rooms with their dads. I don't care about your very special reasons, you reek of entitlement.

Tell us you have never seen men at a row of urinals without telling us you have never been in a men's bathroom. Of course they are naked in the "public" area of the bathroom.

Oh yes the "rules don't apply to me" is a really winning argument.
