Boyfriend asked how I'd feel about dressing sexier

Start with skirts and dresses.

Otherwise he is cheap and tacky to be asking you to do that.

I remember I had an older boyfriend who would take me shopping and suggest outfits and I loved it. He paid of course.

Can you give me any tips on what kind of outfits? Or what stores you got them from? I am a little stressed about the pj thing - I still want to be comfortable to go to sleep. On tv women go to sleep in bras with underwires and that looks so uncomfortable.

For bedtime shorts that are bit too short but stretchy so comfy and a white tank no bra.

Start there and add a new thing every month.

Don’t go out and get 10 sexy outfits.

Lingerie is over rated.

Nothing better than a fitted white tshirt no bra.

You should have said you are a different poster…
(And I don’t think white t shirts are particularly sexy, no)

You are clearly not a man.

We are talking about what men find sexy. I know men and yes a tiny white t … they love. The peaking butt cheeks , yes.

Depends on OP's weight.

(I say this as a fat woman)

That would make me mad. Glad I'm single. I dress however I want. There is no need to dress "sexy" and invite unwanted attention.

It’s amazing how you attempted to sound like a feminist at first, but then quickly shat all over it.

How about you ask him for examples, OP. What he finds sexy may not be what anyone else finds sexy.

I love feeling sexy but I'd be so skeptical of a guy suggesting his girlfriend dress differently. If he wanted to date someone who dresses sexy why did he pick you? Just keep up your sense of self, okay OP?

I'm this PP and I re-read some comments and I like the idea of having him take you shopping. It could be fun and if he's paying for it it is more of a gift to you than asking you for a favor.

What about tights? That seems sporty enough for your personality and yet sexy.

This seems so strange to me - it sounds controlling. OTOH, OP seems willing and curious but clueless.

Hope it all works out and he doesn’t expect her to wear stuff she hates or is uncomfortable wearing.

Yeah, can’t shake the feeling this is controlling. Triggered. Hope I’m wrong. Have fun shopping, OP.

There is a big range between sweats all the time and hooker outfits. Does he just want you to wear a dress or skirt or a fitted top once in a while, maybe look a little nicer for certain occasions?

I wear a lot of pants and sweaters but my spouse definitely appreciates when I kick it up a notch and put on a dress and show a little leg and cleavage without it being over the top SEXY, just more stereotypically feminine. Or go shopping with him and try stuff on!

Boden is not sexy.

If you sort Boden's dresses by length and choose "mini" they all hit right at the knee or right above the knee. That's not a true "mini dress." Biden is very conservative.

Just look at images of Jennifer Gsrner dressed up. She wears the full spectrum of super casual to red carpet ready.

Anonymous wrote:He stressed NOT slutty. Just sexier. I basically dress like I did back in 6th grade. Kind of like Jennifer Garner. Thing is I'd be fine with dressing sexier except I don't know how beyond black lingerie and not flannel pjs (but then what?). My mom would be no help - when I went to prom she got me a dress she and my grandma thought was pretty. My friends are no help - we're all pretty nerdy or athletic. Too embarrassed to ask my brother - might be an awkward conversation.

I have a good body, kind of small boobs, long-ish legs, and I wear a lot of jeans and sweaters or hoodies and sneakers. Can you send me links? I'm fine with dresses or skirts or whatever, as long as everything is machine wash and not dry clean. I work in recruiting for tech and generally wear a sweater for zoom interviews so don't dress up much for work.

This is a big red flag. He wants to change you so I would say "I'm comfortable how I dress. How would you like it if I suggested clothes for you?" Then be prepared to leave this controlling dude.

My husband (ex husband ) said the same to me a few times. I finally got out. It was the tip of the iceberg of his controlling behavior.
