Why are people not freaking out about Schedule F here?

IMO Trump's primary win is probably a good thing. DeSantis or Haley would probably be far more effective at carrying out Schedule F reclassification than Trump, who is generally incompetent and surrounds himself with morons like Jenna Ellis.

What you are not understanding is that they already have the details in place. There’s a whole team looking into all of the possible road blocks and are devising ways around them. They have also started a database of people who are ready to take these jobs, apparently, it has 20,000 names in it. These are people who have applied, with questions like “who is your political hero?” You can guess what answer gets you on the list.

This is serious and scary stuff and you should not take this lightly.

No it won't what do you not understand about the definition of a dictatorship?
We will follow no norms.
They will fire at will.

You think Trump and Co are not coming in and decimating the entire federal government to meet Trump's whims?
And salaries LOL

Let's try again you are not paying attention.

Project 2025 has only been 1/3 released, another 2/3 has been leaked and it's not good for feds.

Because Trump will not win.

I am worried about it, but I figure if it happens I'll be one of thousands of people affected so at least I won't be alone. I am at a smaller and lesser-known agency and our leadership would try to protect us, so I think I might get to stay longer than some people. But a second Trump term would cause so many problems that losing my job might not even be the worst of it. I have no dependents, a non-fed spouse (though I think everyone will be affected if Trump tanks the economy), and good savings so if it happens, I'll have more of a cushion than most.

Why does anyone think Trump will be more effective at accomplishing his goals the second time in office? He’s a buffoon. Previously he could find competent attorneys like Bill Barr to work for him, but now? I’m not too worried by the people surrounding him.

I’m 48 and a GS15 supervisor in a job that deals with the southwest border. I stressed about it all the time. But then I saw that there is rulemaking in place, and the rulemaking would likely be litigated and/or withdrawn and that will take at least a couple of months. And then I suppose it would take at least a couple of months for me to be fired. So basically, I’m counting on hitting 50 and my agency offering early retirement. I’ve never wanted to be 50 so badly. Me and my staff are freaking out about it though.

You are panicking about nothing. There's a low level of competence in the team you're worried about. Effecting change is difficult when you have talented people, it's impossible when you're using the D-list.

What you’re missing is: this isn’t happening. Biden is going to be re-elected by a landslide.

As a fed, I do not understand any other fed voting for someone who threatens to fire them!

Most feds are hard workers and can easily take their talents somewhere else, so I'm not particularly afraid of being replaced by a political appointee.

I am more concerned about having to work through another administration of his. It was the worst, and he still had some normal people around him back then.

The polls suggest otherwise
