Why? |
More, or less? I’d go as low as 10 weeks. Maybe as high as 21. That seems perfectly reasonable |
| If you are still a Republican I know you are stupid |
I wouldn’t hire them |
It’s horrific what these Catholic parents use as props |
What seems perfectly reasonable is for this to be a decision made by the pregnant person and the medical care provider, like all other medical care. |
Maybe some day they will have wives and daughters who find their smiling faces about this reprehensible. Or worse, maybe someday they will be party to a needed or wanted abortion. |
You think its reasonable to give women one week to find an abortion provider, thats likely out of state, get an appointment, find care for their other kids/pets, book a flight and hotel, get permission to take off work, and get to the appointment within 7 days of learning their wanted child doesnt have brain or any other issue? Not to mention, not all women receive anatomy scans by a MFM. If the OB or sonographer think there is something amiss they have to send it out or send you out for a referral and sometimes you want a second opinion. Your reasonability is based on your ignorance of how this actually works. |
In the EU, the standard is 15 weeks, and then every country has their own standards as to what justifies an exception after that. Pretty much everyone allows it for r@pe, fetal abnormalities, and health of the mother. Many countries allow it for mental health and economic reasons. While I am ok with this kind of thing on a practical nature…essentially, a woman can terminate a pregnancy late in the term by affirming that she is financially or mentally incapable of giving birth and/or raising a child, which is the fair result that we want. I still disagree with the principle of the government deciding what I can do with my body and making me disclose that kind of thing. It is NOT settled science on life beginning at any point before birth. And if you want to bring religion into it… I’m Jewish, and we believe that life begins at first breath. So there’s that. Unless there is a universally declared point at which life begins, say at the 30th week or something, the government should have no authority whatsoever on the matter. |
And you’re for abortion, so what’s your problem about it. |
Don't forget the time spent trying to raise the necessary funds. |
x1 million |
Sounds like the O'Connell kids are back from Richmond, trolling a mommy website during lunch. You aren't mature/informed enough to have an adult conversation, let alone make healthcare decisions for millions of women. |
Every woman (and girl) should be able to make their own decision: if they want to be pregnant and if they want to become a mother. Immature, ignorant teens who have been brainwashed by their parents/teachers should not making that decision for them. |
