I’m aware. But you could still start with soup or salad. Maybe a shrimp cocktail. And most steakhouses have a petite filet + potato + veggie menu item. I want none of that. Just wasn’t sure how abnormal this would be to the server or bartender. |
"I'd like the least flavorful steak you have, please! Oh, it's also one of the most expensive? Fantastic!" |
+1 Hate the bone or fat or grizzle stuff. Filet is the best. |
Totally full of flavor. Maybe up your game with your quality of restaurant selection. |
You would assume wrong. Just go ahead and order your filet. |
First, stop posting multiple virtually identical responses. Second, I don't know what to tell you. Maybe the bartender will think this is nuts, and you're the strangest patron he ever served. (He won't, but let's assume.) So what? He'll still smile at you, bring your your lonely, (flavorless, but very tender) steak, and go on with his day. He won't think about you again after you sign your receipt. Are you worries that your picture will be passed around to all the steakhouses in the area? "Beware of this patron, who only orders steak!" |
Not compared to the other cuts it isn't. |
| Do you know the kinds of weirdos most bartenders have seen? |
They'd say; 'no sloppy steaks' but they can't stop you from ordering a steak and a glass of water, before you knew it we were dumping that water on those steaks! The waiters were coming to try and snatch em up, we had to eat as fast as we could! OHHH I MISS THOSE NIGHTS |
What?? A filet is the best cut of steak! |
| I think its a little weird, but who cares? I love steak, but I'm a side dish gal too haha. Do it! |
That’s why it’s so expensive! |
Is it weird to start a thread about ordering a steak in a steak restaurant and get feedback? Yes, yes it is |
You are way overthinking this. They see hundreds of people each week who place all kinds of orders. |
I weep for the future. |
