NVA (Loudoun) going MLS NEXT?

Anonymous
So would they have their top (currently NVA teams?) in MLS Next and then next team in ECNL?
Or put top Loudoun only team in MLS Next and then have NVA for ECNL?
Or just drop NVA and ECNL ?
I’m confused

Do you really think the DMV is such a hotbed of soccer talent that MLS next can support Loudon in addition to Alexandria, SYC, Bethesda, and Achilles in addition to the United Academy?

It's not about the substance. It's about the labels.

I don't know that this dilutes MLS Next at all. Are there kids deciding between playing for Alexandria or SYC instead of Loudoun, in Leesburg? I honestly don't know but it seems like Loudoun/NVA might end up taking some ECNL players from further west clubs like Union/McLean but that it's otherwise it's own geographical entity. Is that wrong?

There's a reason a number of clubs have applied for MLS Next in the past couple years in Loudoun/Western Fairfax - there's a void. And MLS has acknowledged this.

For MLS Next teams? Yes. For almost every sport, once you get to high school traveling long distance to play on a team in a top league is normal. Look at the list of MLS next teams, https://www.mlssoccer.com/mlsnext/about/members , four club teams plus an academy team is already more representation than any other region DC's size.

This has to be a joke. There are decent sized states with one or two clubs. Locally, Richmond doesn't have a club, Virginia Beach doesn't have a club, but the void is Loudon?

What changes/improves for the kids at Loudoun (and their parents) if Loudoun is accepted into MLS Next?

ECNL won't allow you to put your second team in ecnl. So they will lose ECNL.

It will become a lot harder for boys to make the top team for the ages MLS Next covers because kids will be trying out from a lot further away

The post doesn't say Loudoun is "the void" it says it's "a void." Two things can be true. Not "a joke."

So maybe NVA ecnl stays with GFR and Valor? Or they all lose it?

Let’s see who wins this first big battle…. ECNL or the Loudoun “CEO”

If the Loudoun “CEO” wins they will go MLS Next and if they stay in ECNL that means he lost his first big battle as a CEO.

I hope the Loudoun CEO wins and gets MLS Next!

Ever heard of PDA, FC Delco? Both were removed from ECNL for boys because their first team was in MLS next.

Isn't MLS Next only for the boys side? I'm confused too. If that's still the case (I don't have male soccer players so don't keep up with the boys side) can LS keep ECNL on the girls side?
