NVA (Loudoun) going MLS NEXT?

I can’t speak to the girls side, but it is astonishing to me how an area the size of Loudoun, with all the kids and good facilities, spits out mediocre teams. They are exactly like McLean now. Well, not that bad, but close.
nepotism of kids existing in program plus cost. Now add lazy too self important coaches who don't want to develop kids. If this was a free academy most of the kids wouldn't be selected.

There are some clubs that have both but those are not new. I do not think either would allow this going forward. They both probably will be squeezing the clubs that have both to make a move.

The equation changes all the time. If GA was closer to ECNL then I think you would see switches but right now (today) GA is not close to ECNL so you have to pick -- which side do you favor -- girls or boys. Maybe someday it is closer.

There has to be a way to pull it off. I think if an ECNL club merged with a non ecnl clud that had mls next it is possible to keep it if the club did not list either team as the top boys team. But who knows.

Level of talent is better at MLSNext. It just is.

No ECNL club has multiple MLS academy teams on the schedule each year. MLSNext teams play 40% more games each year, the infrastructure and league finances are far superior.

Have you ever heard of West Virginia and Achilles?

Do you all honestly think LS has the talent pool to be competitive in MLS Next? Let alone field the talent for SECOND TEAM to play ecnl first teams?

Have you followed the younger ages against mlsnext clubs (younger teams)? Ls would be the west Virginia of MLS next (hopefully west Virginia gets better next year).

Sounds great for $$ but probably not the best choice.

Loudoun would be on same level as Alexandria and Achilles.
Um. No. Alexandria two thousand eleven have the number one team in the middle of atlanti MLS next.

Achilles is not one to loo up to for mls next, they tend to be towards the bottom.
Um. No. Alexandria 2011 MLS Next this year has lost virtually every game. Sad.

Yes, that is the ASA way. They lack good coaches. There is a lot of talent, but they don't get developed at all.

Can you expand on this? the Alexandria 2011s have the same coach they had last year.

How now will the merger with NVA be? What will happen to their girl program?

Sorry. I don't get it. the 2011s were nearly undefeated last season under their coach. This season they are nearly winless under THE SAME coach. How is coaching the issue? Serious question if that's what you're saying. What is different in the coaching this year vs. last?

Very simple the best two players left the team.

Wow, two players, and all changes so dramatically. Again, coaching issues. Well, at least now they feed into the ASA narrative of losing.

So not a coaching issue? I still don't get it. Maybe someone should start a thread about the positives and negatives of Alexandria Soccer. I'd love to hear people's opinions (if informed).

Is it true about NVA politics? Someone alluded to in the other thread.
