What dose of zepbound do you start losing?

Anonymous
I just started on 2.5 and down 4 lbs. I experience heart burn, lack of appetite I had to make myself eat. A little diarrhea the first week as well. I just did my 2nd injection for my 2nd week. I took otc med for my heart burn and that worked. I use mints for my nausea. I don’t like the missing meals but I love the not having the urge to want to snack all day due to feeling full all day.

you have to either have commercial insurance or get your dr to do a prior authorization.

My insurance told me I had to try wegovy before zepbound.

I don’t know about “all” of the hunger but I do have more hunger/munchies towards the end of the week. Especially on the lower doses.

Aren’t these the same thing?

Wegovy is semaglutide, Zepbound is tirzepetide

Check out the Reddit zepbound group. I’ve seen lots of people report this on 5mg. My weight loss was a little slower when I first started 5mg but then it picked back up again.

I was on 2.5 for 5 months and went down from 185 to 165. But I stopped losing in that last month. So now I'm moving up to 5.0.

I just started rebound Thursday and lost 4lbs by Saturday. I have absolutely no appetite or interest in food. Trying to force myself to eat fruits, veggies and drink water. Is this normal?

Are you a diabetic? I'm not judging - my Dr. would not prescribe Mounjaro because I am not diabetic. I am thinking of going elsewhere. My insurance covers Mounjaro at like $30 a month and Zepbound is $260 WITH insurance.

I think any side effects, including appetite suppression, improves with time. They can worsen again when you increase dosage, though.

I started nine weeks ago and lost 12 pounds in one month on 2.5 then 9 pounds in one month on 5.0. I’m fortunate to be responsive to these doses from a weight loss perspective but unfortunately I’m also very responsive from a side effect perspective. I’m 10 pounds from a “normal” BMI and 15 pounds from what I hope is a sustainable maintenance goal but can’t imagine being able to handle titrating up to get there.

If you are doing fine on these doses, you don't actually need to titrate up, FYI. Only do so if and when the dose you were on stops working. I m on 7.5 now for three weeks, not feeling great, and going back to 5.0 which was still pretty effective.

I just started 5mg and started losing weight. Very frustrating. I’m a calorie counter and went from eating approx 2,500/cal/day to 1700 the second i went on MJ and did not lose a single point for weeks. Not one despite being in a massive calorie deficit. So now on 5 for 3 weeks and have lost 6lbs, exact same caloric intake. I can’t go below 17-1800 or i can’t work out. Plus i like my hair. I refuse to be skinny if it takes me dipping below 1500 cal. my muscles are too important to my future brain and bone health.

Ever run a marathon and see a fat woman blow by you? that was me. my god damn body would survive a gigantic apocalyptic migration on foot while starving.
