If your college student plays D&D, you have failed as a parent

Who would of thought the D&D/LARPing crowd would be so passionate about it?

You are not wrong OP.

I know a very successful doctor who still plays.

One who doesn't occupy an infantile dream world as a grown ass adult.

How do you feel about adults follow football teams?

My husband plays fortnight all the time. He’s probably smarter than all of you combined.
Suck it, game haters.

OP's premise is more accurate if you replace D&D with video games. D&D dweebs might not run tail, but they at least interact in person with each other.

D&D is not my thing, but I don't know why it would mean you were a failure. It's just something to kill time and socialize - would you feel differently if a college student spent time playing Hearts or Spades?

Did a 2 second google search of celebrities that play and the first two to pop up are Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Vin Diesel. Both one could argue epitomize the traditionally "cool" guy.

So...exactly what is your problem?

Or be in a fraternity or sorority. That would be worse, in my opinion, than roleplaying games.
