| Only the cat sleeps in our bed, and like the PP said we can just move her if we need the extra space for adult activities. No kids sleeping in our bed as a firm rule, but one of us will go to their room as needed. |

2-3 cats sleep in our (king sized) bed at night. Two cats always, one sometimes with us, sometimes upstairs.
No children sleep in our bed or room ever after 4 months old. If someone is sick or has a nightmare, then a parent might sleep in their room. Oldest is almost 4. Cats do not get in the way of sex. Once you start rolling around, they leave (and come back pretty promptly once you're done). |

Cat stomps over us regularly at night, yes. It's always treat time in her little mind.
The kid's 15, so he hasn't visited in lo these many years. |

Kids: yes. Animals: hard no.
My dogs have both passed away now but they thankfully showed no interest in climbing into their humans’ beds. |

The kids can come into our bedroom in the morning to snuggle after their alarm goes off. The dog snuggles with us when we first get into bed at night, then generally jumps off and sleeps in her bed on the floor, or in her other bed inside her crate.
But this is a cultural thing too - in some cultures there are family beds. |
Two adults sleeping in a full size bed? |
Yep! It's cozy but it works. |
+1 Exactly this. |
| NO neither. |
My DH and I did this for years. We upgraded to a queen about 5 years in. But then we moved and slept in the full size bed again for almost a year while getting renovations done. It was fine. I notice the difference (and definitely notice the difference when we travel and sleep in a king) but it's really not a big deal. To be blunt, unless one of you is very tall or one or both is very overweight, a full is plenty of space for two adults with average sleep habits (so not people who toss and turn a lot). |
| Our 5 month old kitten comes in around 3am and snuggles. We have a 20 yo and 16 yo so this is a welcome snuggle...as long as he doesn't make biscuits. |

We had a 3 and 6 year old and I can probably count on one hand the number of times we’ve had a kid/baby sleeping in our bed. We always discouraged sleeping in our bed (even for nightmares) because of the stories we had heard from friends and neighbors about starting a habit and how hard it is to break. We have no issue lying with our kids if sick or scared in their own beds to snuggle them.
Like OP, we know SO many people who have allowed kids in bed and it does and has become a habit that they can’t break now. It might be fine for the kids but it can’t be good for the parents, either their sleep quality or sex life. I know because the ones I know who allow this also complain about it too. Animals in bed is a hard no for me too. |
| No one in our bed but us. My husband sometimes lets a kid in on his side if they have a nightmare, but if they start to encroach on me I carry them back to their bed. I am kind of psycho about sleep. We also do use that time to get busy so yea, lots of reasons. |
| 2 small dogs at the foot of our bed! |

Kids will once in awhile come in if they wake up in the middle of the night and often on weekend mornings when we sleep in a bit and they wake up first. No problem with that.
No on pets. Plenty of time for sex so no issue except for basic weariness at times. |
