They're graduation rates will drop, and so will there rankings.

I'm sure Michigan will be just fine. They can just let UVA and second tier privates worry about that

Michigan alumni here with a degree in Computer Engineering. UM is definitely overrated.

I just hired a Umich Ross MBA and I’m kicking myself and wondering how someone with so low functioning skills could have gone to such a highly ranked school

Did you happen to attend UVA?

Berkeley and UCLA both have over 32,000 undergraduates on their respective campuses. Perhaps UVA should grow its undergraduate numbers so they can equal the Big 3 publics?

It’s alumnus. A Michigan grad would know how to use it.

I’d say it’s more of a reflection of your incompetence in hiring.

This has to be the same butt hurt UVA booster posting negative comments about Michigan. By the way, it’s there not “there.” You can’t even troll well.

They’re, there, their. You need to learn the difference. It’s all elementary school level grammar.

UM's total enrollment for fall this year reached 52,065 students, up 2% from 2022. Furthermore, the school's undergraduate enrollment rose 3% to 33,730 students from 32,695 last year.

Why would you compare these two schools?

We know several kids attending Michigan. It’s not all that great. Hard to get classes. Not accepted to programs. Need to find off-campus housing. Large classes. Little to no advising. It’s just a big school with a name.

Not a booster and/or alum but good for Maize and Blue...try to educate as many as possible. Let the others worry about "exclusivity". Keep on, keeping on.

This Big 10 grad agrees.

Oh, and the OOS price is ridiculous. And, you’re not going to get much if any financial aid. In sum, not a good deal.

UVA boosters like to pretend they are from the Northeast. They think part of that charade is sneering at anything Midwestern. It bursts their self-delusion when they can’t intellectually keep pace with something from the Rustbelt or Farmbelt.
