Duke was still to high! |
| *too |
But those schools don’t have serpentine walls! |
Looks much more correct than the recent years. |
It is much smaller than other flagships. I can't think off the top of my head one smaller than UVA. |
Disagree. It's just that our instincts about this were calibrated in a 1988-ish era so we'll always kinda think this way. There's no way I'm believing Northeastern is a top school bcs that's where the potheads went in my day. but I'm more wrong than right on this. we need to stay open to new things |
University of Maine Vermont Rhode Island North Dakota Shall I go on? |
No, because they clearly meant top caliber |
Have zero interest in applying to this school. Antisemitic pro Palestinians would be something I would not want to be around (no I am not Jewish) but I don't like this atmosphere. |
UVA is not top caliber - shall I go on? |
Completely agree. Would move MIT higher, though. And add Columbia and Penn somewhere. That's about it. |
Yes please. Try some more of the smallest population states. |
There are probably more than a few pro-Hamas types in Ann Arbor, but in general the furor in Dearborn does not spill over to Ann Arbor. The Dearborn folks tend to live with parents while in college. So their main destinations are Wayne State U & U of Mich at Dearborn. |
Besides that, pro Palestinian groups are represented all over the country at all major universities. It’s hardly a Michigan thing. |
strange point, especially in light of the fact that UVA - notwithstanding its small size - is the no 1 producer of Rhodes Scholars over all other publics insituttions, including Michigan and no 8 over all privates/publics including West Point. Uva sent my Oxbridge kid there now. |
