Agreed. Castrate them. DNA evidence should suffice. |
| Because our current criminal system has more protections, supports and legal focus on the criminal than the victim, even after sentencing. |
| Can we cut off a hand if you are caught stealing? |
If you steal a child, yes. |
Then why the death penalty what? |
You are going to create a lot of one-handed women. https://safeatlast.co/blog/child-abduction-statistics/ |
The child who you birth, is your child. |
I thought it was mandated and administered by injection. It wasn't pills you could take or not at will. |
You don’t need a penis to rape. |
Right, the death penalty shouldn't be a thing EITHER. Just because one wrong thing happens, doesn't justify more wrong things happening. |
|
Because this country coddles pedophiles, rapists, domestic abusers, and other men who commit crimes against women and children.
You can tell the value a culture places on women and children by how it treats those who prey on women and children, and make no mistake: America is a woman-hating country. The influence of misogynistic Christian doctrine remains. |

I agree, OP. I think that if castration was a known punishment, a lot of would-be rapists would check themselves.
I fully support it. F*** anyone who shames anger or tells rape survivors to "manage anger" or "overcome bitterness" or turn into a forgiveness machine until we're dead-eyed and drooling robots. That's brainwashing. Forcing forgiveness through toxic therapy (I can't tell you how often this happens) destroys souls. Anger saves lives and hearts. Castration is a fitting and entirely appropriate punishment. Especially since they have decided that they own our wombs now, even if we have been raped. |
That's an interesting legal precedent of which i am not aware. |

I believe that rapists and pedophiles cannot be rehabilitated. That said, I don't believe in castration. First, as has been pointed out, it would be considered cruel and unusual punishment. Second, rape is about violence and control. Third, what if the wrong guy is convicted?
To me the answer is life in prison, no parole. |

I've read up on some the issues around castration and why the courts claim it's cruel and unusual punishment (although, the death penalty is not).
It's because pedophiles and rapists should have the right to fantasy about what they want and castration would hinder that. If that's the case, I'm pro death penalty for rapists and pedophiles. |
