If Republicans get majority in the House or the Senate or if Republican candidate wins the WhiteHouse

They’ll probably have me in a conversion therapy camp in the woods within before the next Presidential cycle if that happened.

America has been over for awhile, but it's just now coming into focus. I feel like Obama's election broke some brains and then when Sandy Hook happened and we did nothing we lost our soul.

RDS said he likely will pardon them - something about "case by case"

An attempted coup/insurrection isn't serious? Y'all have gone way too deep into the cult sickness

I'd like to know why they haven't arrested the DNC bomber from Jan 6. The FBI knows what MetroCard was used and the license plate of the car he got into.

The Republicans already control the House.

Perhaps you didn't mean to use 'or'.

it’s easy to feel like things won’t get better but we’re already seeing signs of pushback. Parents and publishers joining together to stand up to bans, incredible voter registration and activism from young people, even anti abortion PAC Susan B. Anthony is moderating. The pendulum is swinging back but it will take all of us taking a stand and standing up for our freedoms. When we come together, we can do anything.

I am still waiting for the mass exodus of 2016...

It takes awhile to plan a move. It took me a year to buy property in another country and it will take a year or two to apply for permanent residency for my spouse. People are making moves.

You mean you just can't cross the border and go?

They lost the information

That was SO evident with Target! That pendulum is swinging more and more left.

They aim to dismantle education--eliminate government public schooling, eliminate child labor laws, and more. See below a post from another web forum, puts it into words better than I can;

Remember: Public colleges and universities were created to allow people who weren't rich the chance to get a college education. It's supposed to be accessible. Public colleges are NOT supposed to be expensive. That's counter to their very existence. And it doesn't have to be. States could decide to put more money into education.

But so many of them refuse. And we have to be very clear on that. This is a refusal to support public universities more, not just some wacky thing that happened over the years. This isn't an accident. As I keep telling y'all, the GQP wants public education to fail. That's K through college. All that youthful vigor could be at work making companies richer, and definitely not wasted on getting broad knowledge and honing their critical thinking skills.

Power and wealth can be consolidated so much more easily without a large middle-class, and without all these people who can more easily peep their game because they have the same amount of education.

It's not a conspiracy, either: The GQP wants authoritarian government and a poor, trapped work force. They're not operating in secret.

So yes, for a lot of people college costs so much that they feel like they can't risk it. I totally understand that. But let's not just assume that it's just the way things are. Politicians are making decisions every day to keep college out of reach.

Agreed. My cousin left the country when W.Bush was president and she’s never moved back.

As a US citizen, of course you can.

Bud! Don’t forget the House has elections in 2024.
