Why do people hate Kamala?

Giving women a pass just because of their gender is ridiculous. And I say this as a woman.

+1. Please don't assume every critique can attributed to misogyny or racism. We should be able to have reasonable debates about the qualifications of our elected officials and raise valid criticisms regarding their shortcomings. No one is beyond criticism, notwithstanding the double standards that get applied particularly for those on the right.

Biden

Biden had a clear portfolio: all of the foreign affairs plus helping get legislation through the Senate. Harris does not.

Yep, but it wasn't all of foreign affairs (see SoS Clinton and Kerry). But can you see Harris marshalling legislation through the Senate the way Biden did? I can't aside from breaking a tie given the role of the office. I think Gore was well liked as VP.

Slightly positive since she’s the first woman of color VP to the extent that identity politics matters to me which is very little. But I don’t love her or hate her more than any other generic politician or the way she conducts her duties as vice president, which is basically nothing. Maybe people just hate “generic politicians” but I don’t think she’s any worse than other generic politicians, which is most of them. So why is she so particularly loathed?

I don’t know if she is loathed but she is definitely a manifestation of the Peter Principle. Tulsi Gabbard effectively called her out back in the primary.

It also doesn’t help that she is such a grating public speaker.

Our society in the US hates powerful women. ('Many women hate powerful women along with their husbands). The US is the only country in the free world not to have a woman President/Prime Minister.

I used to not like her because she was "snarky." (ex. Kavanaugh hearings; debate with Joe Biden), but now I think she must have been very well coached by her staffers then.

I do not understand why she cannot give better speeches. Last week, she gave a speech where she said that Biden is putting more money in people's pockets with electricity and gas going down.
I understand that she is not stopping to put gas in her vehicle or buying groceries--but does she not read? watch news?
Everything is going up in price. Clueless.

The inflation rate has been on the decline for awhile now. Read the news.

Prices go up 30 to 50 percent, and then inflation drops to 4 percent. This still means prices are higher by 30 to 50 percent.

Wrong color.
Wrong gender.

I don’t hate her, but the jokes are too easy. It’s incredible that the satire below was possible.

And this kind of person is expected to be completely perfect every second of every day while others can fumble their way through.

I don't expect perfection, but I do expect competence.

And, we have not seen that. Her speeches are largely word salads delivered in a way in which a first grade teacher would talk to her students.
She has been absent in terms of her role as border czar.
The few interviews she has granted have resulted in a string of embarrassing sound bites.
I don't hate her, but I don't believe she has represented her office well.

I didn't understand how she did so poorly in the primaries until I saw her speaking as VP about space and school buses.

I didn’t say otherwise.

Big plus one

Not that complicated.

Blatant Racism and sexism are front stage now.

No, it's not on the left. Listen to her speak. She doesn't have good stage presence. She's nothing like Obama, Clinton (Bill or Hilary), Warren, Whitmer, or let's say, Stacey Abrams if you want to call out concerns that this doesn't include women POCs.

You just proved my point. With the exception of electricity, prices are down.

so, you don't shop either.
