Don Geronimo is back on 100.3. He’s been on DC radio since I was a kid, and I’m pushing 50. He started as a nighttime DJ when he was a student at Rockville HS. He had a very popular morning show and years later an afternoon show with his cohost Mike O’Meara. He was here long before Jack Diamond.

Not anymore.

I smell an uneducated fool that failed HS Civics.

I’m sad that Geronimo was fired for a joke. He said a woman who is a public figure looks like Barbie. Googled her, and she looks like Barbie. He also said he thought she was one of the cheerleaders. Pretty sure that was a compliment.

I still remember when Frieda died. Whatever happen to Bart?

See I think Jack Diamond was about 1000x times worse because his misogyny was hidden behind a fake layer of empathy. It was still there loud and clear.

Who even listens to the radio anymore?

Eliot is annoying, but I like Diane and Tyler. I'd prefer the show if they played music to break up Eliot talking. Jack Diamond was obnoxious to listen to, but I liked the music.

I don't find much to listen to during my morning drive.

Longtime listener and frequent caller to Don and Mike. Huge fan. Began listening in HS when they had the drive time show; Mike was married or maybe divorcing OG Mrs. O’Meara, Bart was a toddler (“Hey Ken Stevens give my Daddy more money!) and David.David Hanes was the newsman.

Favorite bits were when they got a height weight chart and would ask callers for stats and then ring a bell (Hi, Baybayyy) if a female had all the right stats, or how they’d recognize a smoker’s voice and ask about brands/smoking habits. Mike loved determining a fellow Big Man based upon voice alone. Then he’d guess the guys weight.

They also called into an automated health information line and would play roulette - try to get the most concerning (and funny) condition like Diarrhea.

Loved their Jeopardy with Don hissing, “not in the form of a question!”

Sound effects, Freda calling in, We’re Fat. We’re White. We’re Catholic…and we are sick about it!

It wasn’t a joke or a compliment. It was straight up sexual harassment of a woman doing her job. Read the articles on exactly what they said and her response.

Diane serves no purpose, and Tyler comes off as arrogant despite the fact that he routinely says really, really dumb things.
