DC morning radio shows

All of these DC nostalgia posts have me thinking about the morning radio shows. Who else remembers Jack Diamond in the Morning and Elliot in the Morning? I think Elliot is still on but I left DC.

Elliott is still on

Jack Diamond was awful

Elliot is still on DC 101.

Don Geronimo is back on 100.3. He’s been on DC radio since I was a kid, and I’m pushing 50. He started as a nighttime DJ when he was a student at Rockville HS. He had a very popular morning show and years later an afternoon show with his cohost Mike O’Meara. He was here long before Jack Diamond.

Don Geronimo was on WPGC, WAVA, and WJFK (among others) before his current gig on 100.3.

Longtime Don and Mike fan. Listened to them as a kid on WAVA and then in my 20s on WJFK. Met them at one of their Las Vegas style shows. I think I still have cassette tapes somewhere of their WAVA shows that I used to record because I'd have to leave for school in the mornings, so I'd just start recording when I left and listened when I got home from school. Still remember the Greaseman on DC101 and I was too young for Stern when he was on 101, but listened to him in the 90s on WJFK and now of course on XM. Jack Diamond was (and still is awful) though I did love MIX 107.3 back in the day. D&M used to torment him and crank call his show.

+1

Came here to say this. Plus, Stern was great when I was in law school.

Loved The Hot Morning Mess with Mark and Kris before that bozo Kane came on air.

I still hold a grudge against Don (Don & Mike) for spoiling the ending of The Sixth Sense. Literally still mad at him and would say so if I saw him in person.

If there was any movie that sucks worse going in after a spoiler alert I don't know of it.

I used to love listening to Don and Mike. I've tried Don's podcast and listening to him now that he's back and it's absolutely one of those you can never go home again movements.

I miss the Kane Show. And the hundreds of pages of threads the show generated on here!

I don’t listen to the radio but I got my car back from a friend and when I got in Eliot in the morning was playing! How old is he??? It was a blast from the past. I immediately switched it to Spotify though.

You stole my EXACT sentence. Yes. They were amazing. Then Kane came in and the entire show went to hell with that fake War of the Roses show.

He’s 53ish, with one kid in college and one in high school.

Talk about a no talent. I have been avoiding Eliot for 20 plus years
