The majority of men and women in our country know it's absurd to talk about pregnant people and individuals instead of girls, women, mothers, moms, etc.

I mean, sure. Hold that line. Question your teen and make her feel wrong and stupid, or that she can’t talk to you. Good luck with that! Be sure to make this a point of contention, and see exactly how far it gets you. Some people value communication with their child. And apparently some would rather be “right” about every single word chosen than have a relationship with their child. Pick your lane. Good luck.

The majority of men and women in our country are ignorant.

Again, be glad your sons are talking to you. By all means, criticize and parse and see how your relationship goes. The out-of-whack priorities on this thread are astounding. You will reap what you sow. If you expect your children to talk, think, act and vote the same way you do, you will end up with a strained relationship, if any. And you will deserve the distance.

If a tween or teen can’t use this time in their life to think, talk, experiment with new ideas, ask questions, figure out different ways of understanding and engaging with the world…when can they?

Some parents are open and supportive and curious about their kids. And some parents are controlling and expect their kids to be little carbon copies of themselves.

Guess who the good parents are?

Men can’t get pregnant.

A woman is an adult human female.

These are controversial sayings now.

Because they don't want to be cancelled and person is the term that they are expected to use. Even if they don't believe it. They don't want to accidentally say girl or woman to you because they might slip up and use that word o their peers.

If they don't believe a woman or a girl is a person?

Yes, that is a belief one should keep to oneself.

Are you a generation z? This is what my gen z told me. Do you honestly believe that older generations did not believe girls/women are people? I can assure you that we do. But, the only people who can get pregnant are women. Sorry you were out of class that day when they expalined how the world works. You can think of yourself as anything you want but, biology matters.

My question to you is why are you afraid of the word girl/women? If I said "that woman is pregnant" how does that bother you? Do you not believe that women/girls exsist? Something is wrong when someone says something factually accurate and be cancelled.

Settle down. I said the majority. Personally, I wouldn't correct my child for word usage.

A lot of these folks just love to argue, are ready to argue at a moment's notice, and enjoy playing the victim role.

If you already know that the pregnant person is female human, then why would saying "person" be a problem. What information does "girl" or "woman" add?
