much better looking women at USC than Michigan.

30 years ago answer was easily UMich, but that’s long in the past.

Tough as it is for alumni to admit, Mich is now on par with Wiscy, Iowa, or Indiana - more a testament to how those schools have evened the playing field from an undergrad and research perspective.

USC has risen by leaps and bounds in terms of prestige during that period - USC hands down

USC if money if no object - and my kid was good looking or very self confident. LA is so expensive. Even kids who aren’t living large still have to live in DTLA and socialize there. There are also so many more rich influencer type kids who seek out USC. Michigan is so much more economically diverse and Ann Arbor is amazing but it’s so so so cold.

Based on what metrics? They're tied in rankings.

At 18, the cold and snow didn't really bother me. I'd prefer USC now for the weather, but it wouldn't have been a determining factor at 18.

^^^Based on a WORLD ranking of #15 and research and endowment funding, the above comments are ludicrous about Michigan being on par with Wisconsin et al are crazy.

Further, you are gone for Winter break in December (and the snow of festive) have a couple long weekends in January and February, then Spring break. After that you are into Spring another beautiful season. If you don’t like winter at all then no. But if you like all seasons absolutely yes.

This is a lie. It’s cold and grey through April when classes end. You might be lucky and get a random clear day the week you graduate.

Michigan is the safety for west coast kids who can’t get into Cal, UCLA, UC Santa Barbara, and USC.

Good luck getting in to both! My DC did in 2021, EA @ U of M and RD (USC doesn’t have EA/ED) w/Thematic Option plus merit $$$ @ USC. Love USC

No, not even in football.

And to answer OP's question, UM v. USC will be one CFP semifinal, and the other CFP semifinal will be TCU v UGA. The final will be UM v UGA, and UM can beat UGA this year.

Go Blue!
