Don't let the doors hit you on the way out |
pass. Those of us who did not vote for him have no taste for new spending, new departments and on and on and on. And before you ask, yes my tax bill is huge. |
| LOL. Y'all fools actually thought Sullivan had a chance? DCUM is out of touch with real MoCo. |
+1 If you are a R or Independent, your vote is wasted here. You need to register as a D to vote in the D primaries to make your voice heard. |
DP.. So, what happens if all UMC leave MoCo? |
No one’s leaving. |
Indeed. Where would you go anyway? |
The obvious choice is to move to Virginia to be closer to your job. |
You're obviously in the minority. Maybe put some thought into why so many people think in a way you find alarming. That many people can't all be crazy fools. |
Doesn't it get dull posting the same thing over and over and over and over, year upon year? We know, the sky is falling. |
DP but the economic outlook is not improving, it is going the other way. The county is effectively becoming an active living retirement community with large and growing poverty. This is not a recipe for success. |
Elrich can't balance his own damned checkbook. He certainly can't deal with the county budget. Someone please ask why over half the office of management and budget has resigned in the past year. |
| Vote with your feet and don’t poison where you move |
That’s my concern, too. I feel we would be in a different position if people were aware and educated. We need to attract business. A tax base. As it is, we actively repel the very opportunities we need. Our county council will be busy issuing proclamations while neighboring counties are attracting businesses and creating income. |
That's not what people care about. They want to create little bandaid programs that aid vulnerable communities so that they feel like (mostly white) saviors. Nobody has the intelligence, vision, or spine to really create the economic framework we need to provide a robust economy that in turn provides real career opportunities to people from very diverse walks of life. |
