Diarrhea after CAVA?

How sick? Sickness that could last close to 6 weeks?

Did it last for weeks? I think I picked up something more serous than food poisoning.

I am just getting over something from another restaurant that has lasted almost a month. I think there is something going around.

Thanks for this. I guess it could happen at any restaurant if something is going around.

It was either a Caesar salad or delivery kabobs about a month ago and I have had to go on BRAT diet for past week. Had no other symptoms except daily diarrhea. Sorry for TMI!

Salads are notorious for food poisoning, especially Romaine lettuce.

Yep, I usually avoid. I won't make that mistake again any time soon!

Started having it also and then I realized it was the eggplant in the dips. It was the only place that I was eating eggplant until I went to another restaurant and had eggplant. I was able to connect the dots. Nightshade allergies/sensitivities are very common in middle-age.

We eat it regularly and have had no problems

I eat there regularly and the two times I changed anything about my order and got the spicy green zhug sauce on the side instead of the Greek vinaigrette (ate very little of it), I had terrible stomach issues for 36 hours.

I have never gotten sick from Sweetgreen salads. I know Chop't is notorious for making people sick but I have never gotten sick from Sweetgreen. (I don't have stock in the company.)

Haven't eaten at CAVA in ages so can't speak to it. Their arugula always seemed fresh, though.

Do people use Romaine at home? Any special washing technique? My kids love Romaine and I'd hate to make them sick.

There is a stomach bug going around. Our family all got it one by one. none of us ate at CAVA recently. It is now going through the family across the street. so... may not be CAVA.

I disagree, some restaurant food makes me run to the bathroom soon after eating.

Maybe it wasn’t cava. Maybe it’s a coincidence.

Same with me- like I barely have time to make it home.

I eat at cava weekly and have never had any stomach issues.

I also eat at chopt weekly and have never had any stomach issues from it.

I guess it could be the store. But if also could be something entirely different.
