| I voted for Peter James |
If we are comparing, certainly Riemer voters are the dumbest of the lot. It’s even funnier because certainly they all fancy themselves as “smart”. |
They really are. |
+1 |
He also should think about why he only won the 2018 primary by 77 votes and then somehow got even more unpopular this time around. |
He got more votes this time around. The other elections you are referencing didn’t have big spenders like Blair and the two developer PACs spending a collective $10 million in negative advertising. And they STILL LOST! |
Blair ran in 2018. |
THIS |
MoCo is full of hippie socialists, elderly or otherwise. Surprised it was that close. |
Of course he got more votes this time because the primary was a lot smaller. It did, however, include Blair. |
Neutering Hans is hardly a special skill. Hans neutered himself with his developer handouts and relentlessly negative campaign. Hans spoiled the race for Blair. |
Elrich did a much better job than I expected, so I actually voted for him in the primary this time. |
Elrich won by a smaller number of votes than last time. That means that more people disagreed with you than last time. |
| Why all the fretting? There will be a recount. |
100% Riemer may think the unions did him in. Actually, it was the fact that lots of people got to know who he was over his 12 years in government and didn’t like what they saw. Just the fact that he was mendacious enough to run a relentlessly negative campaign instead of running in his accomplishments, whatever those are, and pretend that he’s a fresh outsider that hasn’t been in office for over a decade is ridiculous. The fact that his negative campaign focused on affordable housing when then council has sole responsibility for all zoning and land use in the county, as well as sole responsibility for appointing the Planning Board. |
