What's the mood at your 4th of July parade?

Impressive fireworks display later tonight - as always.

Our neighborhood represents people from nearly every state... very few born and raised in the area. But we all have one thing in common - proud to be American.

+1 same for our neighborhood!

How can anyone be proud or patriotic?

You must be in Arbutus.

The parade was in Towson. Andy Harris is based in Cockeysville.

What freedoms are we celebrating again? I would love to celebrate the freedom to go to our town’s parade without the fear of my kids heads getting shot off.

+1. Americans have no freedom. When will the rabid right understand that everything they are doing is denying freedom!

Didn't go. At least there wasn't a mass shooting at ours though, so there is that.

Yes, that’s exactly what I said. Your reading comprehension is stellar.

Our 4th of July parade was canceled because of the mass shooting in Highland Park.

The mood is pretty grim and hopeless here.

I was going to take the kids to ours until I found out about the highland park shooting. I’m in a conservative area of the west coast and I just couldn’t bring myself to make it happen.
