The covid-19 pandemic STARTED in Washington state (and California). The first outbreaks and terrible deaths were in nursing homes in Washington state. While that was happening right at Dr. Reid's doorstep, it was 100% reasonable and necessary ti shut schools there. At that time, we on the East coast , the South and Midwest were watching to see what would happen and whether it would spread. In fact, the virus was spreading in NYC and soon spread to the mid-atlantic and South. The fact that schools in Washington state closed a week or so before the rest of the US does not mean anything other than Ms, Reid's district was hit with the virus first, and they responded first.[/quote]
