If you are a Youngkin supporter, do you think that racism exists in any form in VA today?

Overt racism?
Racial biases?
Systemic racism?

Are there racist people in the state, in this country, all over the world? Of course. Is that what you mean by "overt racism?" Do I encounter them on a regular basis? No.

Racial biases? Certainly. How about the obvious political bias when you specifically call out Youngkin supporters to answer this question?

Systemic racism? Maybe, a little. But nothing like in the past.

Would you support efforts to reduce various forms of racism in VA?

Nope. Money down the drain and futile at best. Racism is a sin and is only cured by change of heart of individuals.

We need to teach about the tragic and difficult parts of our history. I’m against CRT as the mode of teaching about racism, but I think our racist past (and present) should be confronted and taught.

What aspects of CRT don’t you like?

What are your thoughts about “anti-racism”?

Even biases?

And systemic racism?

NP here and not Youngkin supporter.

What form do those efforts take? What kind of actions have been shown to have a significant effect on racism on a population wide level?

I would like to see serious reductions in racism and I make individual efforts to that end, but I don’t know what really works on a lagger level.

So your biggest concern is if efforts are effective?

No, let's just continue wasting government (read: taxpayer's) money on programs that are INeffective. No accountability needed at all - we just have to say we're "working on it." Now there's a brilliant idea.

Yes, but what does that have to do with Youngkin?

Racial biases? Yes, but it's overstated by libs to gin up their political base.

Systemic racism? Somewhat, but it's highly conditional to the prison system or locations with extreme poverty like Baltimore. Again, this is overstated by loonie liberals.

Do you think we should try to change any of that? Or are things ok as they are?

ESPECIALLY "biases." Neither you nor the government is responsible for how other people think.

Things are actually pretty damn great as they are, minus the Covid situation.

I'm the PP. Yes, but with a scalpel not a butcher's knife. And, definitely not with DE&I cottage industry that has popped up.

Got it. So you think status quo is acceptable?

So more focused efforts?

What don't you like about DE&I? What would you do instead?

It came up in a discussion about Youngkin and CRT.

Right, so sarcasm aside, you support efforts as long as they are effective. And not wasting tax payer's money.

So we should just all sit back and wait for people to have a change of heart? There is nothing we can do to try to encourage people?

That’s not what you asked.
