Except she’s a 2A nutter who wants a heartbeat ban on abortion so…

What do you mean, exactly? Write it out so everyone can see. You know, show, don’t tell.

So who cares what her race is if she’s just a POS Republican.

So the election of the first black female LTG in the Commonwealth doesn’t count for anything in your vaunted opinion? Thanks for walking straight into that statement. Unbelievable.

I think her race and gender are irrelevant if she’s unfit to be Lt G.

Do you believe this about Kamala?

I think Harris is very well-qualified to be VPOTUS or even POTUS. I didn't vote for her because of her race or gender.

If you believe, given her performance, that she is qualified, you voted for her because of her race - feeding right into the very opaque plan of Biden who purchased your vote with her race. Because she is not, nor ever will be, qualified. Her staff has fled. Hmmm.

I voted for her based on her performance in the senate and as a prosecutor. And I like her political positions.

Sincere question: what has happened to her? She can't seem to answer a straightforward question on TV (which is my only exposure).
I think it's concerning.

FTR, Voted against Trump. Was never excited about Biden or even Harris, regardless of race.

I think everyone should ignore the OP unless/until she comes up with her own solutions to racism in the US. She has offered no solutions at all, just demands from others. Put up or shut up, OP.

"Demands"? I'm just asking for people's opinions. LOL.

Specifically, do Youngkin voters:
(1) acknowledge that racism is an issue in VA
(2) think it should be addressed in some way (not committing to specific changes)

It's not a trick question.

I voted for Yougkin but he is the first Republican for whom I voted.

(1) racism is a big issue in Virginia, specifically Arlington.
(2) racism is being addressed and should continue to be addressed

I am not sure what your "poll" will do about racism in Virginia, but have at it.

And Lee Highway is now named Langston Boulevard and another part of Lee Highway is now named Cherry Hill Road and part of Jefferson Davis Highway is now Richmond Highway and another part is Long Bridge. People still give me the side eye when I walk into Whole Foods in Clarendon but I think that will stop when they rename Wilson Boulevard Honeydew Lane.

If you are a Youngkin supporter, do you think that racism exists in any form in VA today?

Overt racism?
Racial biases?
Systemic racism?

*white racism.

BIPOC people are oppressed, hence - they are by definition incapable of being racist.

Can you come up with another acronym. Everytime I see BIPOC, I think BIOPIC.

This is the last gasp of black people to exert any political power. Their representation in the US population is diminishing quickly and their status will soon be usurped by Hispanics, who are practical, and Asians, who are smart. This is a combination that scarrs the bejesus out of black politicians because they know the gravy train will be over for them when there is a majority Hispanic population in the US.

Anonymous wrote:As a white Youngkin supporter I will admit with absolute certainty there is strong racism in the area. Look no further than TJ and the FFX school board where minorities openly hate Asians and have made sure they reduce the percentage of Asians by redefining admittance to get the numbers up for the "under privileged'" who didn't work hard. In text messages obtained via FOI the one board member even "LOL'd" about how the new policy was racist towards Asians.

Oh wait, this doesn't fit the media narrative.

Asians and white people can't be considered disadvantaged ethnic groups. Get that in your heads people of VA. Asians and whites are privileged.

I'll tell that to my parents who clung to a raft for 7 days fleeing Vietnam.

Really? How so?

How so - look no further than the president of the US -- Mediocre Joe.

Systemic racism? Somewhat, but it's highly conditional to the prison system or locations with extreme poverty like Baltimore. Again, this is overstated by loonie liberals.

Do you think we should try to change any of that? Or are things ok as they are?

Things are actually pretty damn great as they are, minus the Covid situation.

Got it. So you think status quo is acceptable?

That’s not what you asked.

Do you think we should change anything?

Do you think status quo is acceptable?

Are you the OP? If so, I encourage to avoid speaking in vague generalities. It is entirely pointless which is why people keep commenting on the idiocy of this thread. I think that you will get better results if you can articulate the policies and institutions where you have specific concerns.

It’s valuable to acknowledge there is a problem. Sorry, you can’t see that.

Quite the opposite; however, I have no idea what problem you are referring to.

The opposite? You think it's valuable NOT to acknowledge there is a problem?

No, the opposite as in I do see problems; however, I just have no idea which problems specifically you are referring to. Can you elaborate?

And wherever Black folks are, or Hispanics, or Asians....

I honestly think you only feel pleasure when wallowing in discussions of racism 24/7. You'll never get what you're looking for, though.

It would be a quick conversation if you agreed it existed and we should do something to address it.

It’s going to take a long time if people want to pretend it doesn’t exist in a meaningful way. Or if they are perfectly fine with status quo.

DP. And how do you propose "addressing it"? Telling people they're intrinsically racist? No thanks.

That is an excellent conversation we should have. Are we all agreeing now that racism is an issue in VA and needs to be addressed?

Lots of people have agreed that it is an issue in every state and have asked how you would like to address it, but you have not responded. What are your ideas for effective ways to address it?

That is a much deeper discussion.

Just wanted to know if Youngkin voters would acknowledge that racism is an issue in VA. And if they think it should be addressed in some way (not committing to specific changes).

Well I absolutely agree that VA has a serious racism problem. What they did to TJ was awful.

People have repeatedly acknowledged that racism is a problem in Virginia, every state in the US, and every country in the world. And everyone thinks it is bad and would like it to change.

What are the actions that would address it in some way? People would like to do something to effect change, but you’re not giving them anything to work with here, OP.
