Definitely Paloma.

I know a Paloma nickname Lolo which I think is adorable. I also love Juliet and Alice.

I think Paloma is the winner here. I like Gwen, but not Gwendolyn. Dislike Juliet, Miranda, Alice.

Paloma has always seemed like such a harsh, thud of a name to me. But it's memorable. I recall all the Paloma Picasso ads from the '80s.

Juliet is lovely. I know a newborn with the name now. Careful, it may be the new Emma or Sophia.

The sitcom Alice ruined the name for me. I've always found it rather dowdy and clunky.

Miranda, I have a tough time separating it from Sex and the City. I'd opt for Cassandra instead.

And instead of Gwendolyn, I'd opt for Gwenevier or Gwenevieve, calling her Gwen or Vee or Vivi.

np Well that seems kinda rude since op said she liked those names! There is nothing wrong with them and I think anyone of them would be nice.

Wow, I genuinely hate all of them.

Agreed. I think they are all pretty but think Gwendolyn could be a mouthful and would feel a bit weird about naming a kid Paloma if not Spanish/Italian. But they are all lovely.

I love Paloma and wouldn’t feel weird about using it even though it’s not from my heritage.

Paloma is beautiful!

Could Julia be a compromise? Spanish-speakers in the family can say it like hoo-lia if they wish and others will say joo-lia.

I like that Paloma means "dove" like the bird and a symbol of peace, but I think the same word is also used for "pigeon" which, to me, is a much less desirable association.

Paloma is pretty, but it is starting to trend significantly in the UK and now the US, if that matters to you.

I like Miranda and Juliet.

All all very pretty names.

What about Mirabel? Or Meritxell?

+1
Paloma is a Spanish name. Spanish from Spain. It's not like you have to be English heritage to use Elizabeth or French heritage to use Marie or German heritage to use Hanna.
