Cutting taxes and services appeals to old time republicans

Youngkin is winning over voters based on school-related issues (in my local area).

Every time FCPS mentions equity, its another bump for Youngkin

This x 1000. Enough with the nonsense speak.

The fact is, the unvaccinated span both sides of the aisle : AA urban folks & white rural rednecks. Trump (who I despise) is the one who initiated funding the vaccines, for goodness sake. Trying to make the small remnants of society who remain unvaccinated some democratic political strategy is just stupid.

How can you vote for someone who supports Trump and won't unequivocally say Biden won? That should be a disqualifier more than anything else.

I don't like TM but will never vote for someone who threatens our democracy because they don't want to piss off Donald Trump?@!

“I have said before that Joe Biden was legitimately elected our president. I mean, he took the oath. He’s sleeping in the White House. He’s unfortunately signing executive order after executive order,” Youngkin said.

Stop with your lies, pp.

Every election is not about Trump. Youngkin is a sane and reasonable businessman. Obviously, he can’t afford to alienate republicans in the hinterlands, but he is clearly committed to schools being open, police being funded, and general normalcy. I’ll take a tax cut, too, thanks! The democrats have become absolute loons and need to be pushed back.

Don't forget banning abortions (unless you're calling him a liar) and letting parents decide what's taught in school (again, unless you're calling him a liar)

In years past, FCPS elementary schools had their 1st Quarter Parent-Teacher conferences on the same day as the November election. It was a 15 minute meeting (in person).

My kids are now both in college…just wondering if FCPS will be resuming these meetings.

Needless to say, if schools are deciding factors for the election, the timing looks good for Youngkin.

McAuliffe was on CNN or MSNBC the other day doing an interview. He apparently mentioned “Trump” 18 times. There was a tracker posted counting how many times he referred to Trump.

We've already had ours. Nice attempt at trolling though

Trump is the other guy's inspiration, it seems fair. Or does Youngkin no longer support Trump now that he's the nominee?

Huh? Not a troll. But definitely a Virginia voter. Thanks.

Political writers have been writing about a McAuliffe loss for a few weeks now and the latest polls show a dead heat. I was not sure that Youngkin could win over enough independents campaigning against CRT and vaccine mandates but apparently it is resonating with the rest of Virginia. I was in Charlottesville area and there were a lot of Youngkin signs and barely any McAuliffe ones.

If you have not been following the race or were thinking you will skip voting, please consider voting. It's not just the gubernatorial race but school board and local office races are important this year since localities have oodles of Covid relief funds to spend.

Yes, there was a good op ed in the Washington Post recently about Youngkin closing the gap and gaining momentum.

So you're concerned that conferences that your kids had a decade ago or more would be cancelled, despite any evidence that they have been or will be? Sure

No, I’m wondering if FCPS will be welcoming parents into the school buildings this year (giving COVID concerns). My days of parent teacher conferences are over, but I’m still paying Fairfax County taxes and interested in school issues.

+1

He hitched himself to Trump train so obviously Trump is relevant.
