Personally, I will vote for Youngkin (R), abstain from voting for Lt. Governor (both are unqualified lightweights), vote for Herring (D) for Attorney General, and vote for my incumbent member of the House of Delegates (D).

McAuliffe has always struck me as extremely sleazy and the fact that his election would guarantee more limousine liberal pandering to the far-left is a deal-killer for me.

If he wins and the Democrats continue to push Virginia to the far left, and tolerate the further rejection of merit and dumbing down of public schools, we will move to a more moderate state.

Ah the old Divided government then gripe when nothing gets done.

Some might argue that nothing changing is better than stuff that does change (either to the "right", or to the "left")!

Maybe someone who finds certain inequalities acceptable?

Who voted you the inequality police?

Attorney general is a key part of dumbing down of schools. The current AG pushed investigation against Loudoun County for discrimination on the grounds their academic programs had different numbers by race.

Have to correct you here. I've heard Youngkin say over and over again every time this comes up. He is fully vaccinated and he encourages people to get the vaccine, however he is not going to force someone to get it if they don't think it's for them.
I don't know anyone who has died from Covid but I do know people who have died from the vaccine and young teens that have had myocarditis.

Please stop with the BS. No one except those who have fallen deep down the facebook rabbit hole believes this. Just STFU.

I’m not on Facebook and I believe it. Also, we are vaccinated Republicans (my family). My best friend is an unvaccinated dem. She told me she will not be taking the vaccine. I told her that I’m glad she has that choice. I took the vaccine back in February because I want the pandemic over. I don’t believe in mandating this and banning that. Let people decide for themselves. You decide what’s right for your family and I’ll decide what’s right for mine.

That's fine with me as long as you stay in your house and don't infect others.

What are you worried about? I’m vaccinated, so I’m protected. You’re vaccinated, right? Do you think you’re never going to be sick? What has this virus done to people’s brains? Some of you have truly lost your minds.

Stay in your home if you want to remain unvaccinated. I have kids who are too young to get vaccinated. The virus mutates among the unvaccinated.

Seriously, the unvaccinated are a public health hazard to everyone, including themselves. They are vectors for disease.

That's why I care - the unvaccinated affect ME.

Youngkin signs on every street in my UMC neighborhood in NOVA. He has definitely made inroads in Fairfax County.

Youngkin is vaccinated and pro-vaccine. He’s NOT pro-closing schools and other unscientific absurdities, and that earns him my vote. It’s past time for kids to have normalcy.

The fact is, the unvaccinated span both sides of the aisle : AA urban folks & white rural rednecks. Trump (who I despise) is the one who initiated funding the vaccines, for goodness sake. Trying to make the small remnants of society who remain unvaccinated some democratic political strategy is just stupid.

Cutting taxes and services appeals to old time republicans

Last I checked, it was cutting taxes and keeping schools sane and open.

How can you vote for someone who supports Trump and won't unequivocally say Biden won? That should be a disqualifier more than anything else.

I don't like TM but will never vote for someone who threatens our democracy because they don't want to piss off Donald Trump?@!

That isn’t making inroads. They were always going to vote R. He’s not winning over Dems.

Youngkin is winning over voters based on school-related issues (in my local area).

Wrong. I know many families who supported Biden, but are voting Republican in the upcoming election.

Schools are open. The only school around here not open is closed due to a covid outbreak. Vaccine mandates make it more likely schools will stay open and he opposes them

Every election is not about Trump. Youngkin is a sane and reasonable businessman. Obviously, he can’t afford to alienate republicans in the hinterlands, but he is clearly committed to schools being open, police being funded, and general normalcy. I’ll take a tax cut, too, thanks! The democrats have become absolute loons and need to be pushed back.
