I'm not Dico but I know him well enough that he typically tells it like it is....even if it was choosing a shitty coach. That said, I would say whoever wrote this might be one of the parents he would blame.

Like every program, VLC has had some coaches work out better than others. Overall I would say they strive to have the best coaches they can find and when they see an issue they address it.

I think that the "shitty" comment was referring to the old coach, not the new one. But in any event, Dico and this program are as classy as it gets in this particular marketplace. The "disgruntled VLC 2025 Mom" who was writing the long and angry posts has probably left the team, but is still the gift that keeps on giving!

Since then it's slowly devolved into a blue collar, public school, feeder for schools like Mary Washington.

Don’t let facts get in the way of your narrative. UMD Army Vermont Duke MI OSU many others post ‘17 team. Four D1 so far with oldest team not sure UMW considers VLC a feeder program.

Not the strongest VLC team but still several D1 Army VT Mt St Mary’s and solid D3. 2023 will be a stronger recruiting group for VLC
