NextLevel is a great program, but it is not really in competition with VLC for players. Different geographic markets, and generally different high school aspirations.

It varies by class year. In 2026, VLC and DCE are about the same; NextLevel is third; and Cav's fourth. At 2027, NextLevel is ahead of all three. Don't forget MadLax in this discussion. They don't win any popularity contests 2026 it is on par with VLC and DCE, and at 2027 it is on par with NextLevel.

I'm not Dico but I know him well enough that he typically tells it like it is....even if it was choosing a shitty coach. That said, I would say whoever wrote this might be one of the parents he would blame.
